Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Vanilla Apartment 3? The name makes it sound like some bland, cookie-cutter place, but honestly, it’s anything but vanilla. I mean, sure, it’s got this clean, minimalist vibe going on, but there’s actually a lot of character tucked into the details once you start paying attention.
The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-designed apartment than a typical hotel. The space has this lived-in quality that somehow manages to be both stylish and comfortable – think mid-century furniture that you’d actually want to sit on, not just look at. The kitchen area is surprisingly functional too, which I wasn’t expecting from a 4-star place. Most hotels give you a sad little coffee maker and call it a day, but here you’ve got proper counter space and decent cookware if you want to grab groceries from that little market around the corner (the one with the really good local cheese selection, if you’re into that sort of thing). The bathroom’s got this rainfall shower that actually has good pressure – you’d be amazed how often places skimp on that detail.
What really sells me on this place is how quiet it gets at night. I’m someone who usually travels with earplugs because city hotels can be brutal for light sleepers, but I actually forgot to use them here and slept like a baby. The building seems pretty solid, and you’re far enough from the main drag that you don’t get that constant traffic hum. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no standing around for twenty minutes while they try to upsell you on room upgrades or spa packages. The staff just gets you sorted and lets you get on with your trip. That 8.9 rating makes total sense to me because while everything works really well and the place has genuine charm, it’s not trying to be the fanciest spot in town. It’s more about getting the fundamentals right and creating a space where you can actually relax. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend more than just a night or two in the area.
