Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Vienna House by Wyndham Andel’s Cracow? The lobby actually feels like stepping into someone’s really well-designed apartment rather than your typical corporate hotel space. I mean, there’s this whole industrial-chic thing going on with exposed brick and sleek metal fixtures that somehow manages to feel warm instead of cold – which honestly is harder to pull off than you’d think.

The location is pretty stellar if you’re trying to balance being close to the action without dealing with the tourist chaos around the Main Square. You’re literally a quick tram ride from the Old Town, but far enough away that you’re not hearing drunk stag parties stumbling around at 2 AM (trust me on this one – I’ve made that mistake before). The Galeria Krakowska shopping center is right there if you need to grab anything, and there’s actually decent coffee shops within walking distance that aren’t tourist traps. What I really appreciated was how quiet the rooms stay despite being in the city – the windows do their job well.

The rooms themselves feel more spacious than most European hotel rooms, which is saying something. The beds are properly firm (not that soft, sinky hotel bed nonsense), and they’ve got these little touches that show someone was actually thinking – like enough outlets near the bed and a shower that has real water pressure. The breakfast spread is solid too, though it gets pretty busy around 8:30 when all the business travelers hit it at once. My advice? Either go early or wait until after 9:30. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case. Check-in was smooth, they spoke excellent English, and when I had a question about getting to Kazimierz district, the front desk person gave me actual useful directions instead of just pointing vaguely down the street. The whole place has this 9.1 rating for good reason – it’s one of those hotels that just works without trying too hard to impress you with gimmicky stuff you don’t actually need.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Vienna House by Wyndham Andel's Cracow. The hotel was in a perfect location from the main train station and a short walk to the old town. Our room was adequate in size with a large modern bathroom. We found the hotel and our room to be very clean and nicely furnished. Our bed was very comfortable and we could control the heating. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant and in particular the delicious breakfast buffet. If you chose to not have your room serviced, you will receive a free gift as an appreciation. We received apples and granola bars which we appreciated and tucked into our pack sack. We booked a tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau and to Wieliczka Salt Mine using Gr 8 Way, a tour company recommended by the hotel prior to arriving and were very impressed with the personalized service. We highly recommend staying at Vienna House and would definitely book here agarin.

  • Grzegorz from Poland (10/10)

It is Krakow, a tourist city. When booking a hotel there, I always expect an unpleasant surprise. Vienna House hotels surprised me positively. The quality is definitely above the Krakow average.

  • O'neill from United Kingdom (10/10)

Very close to old town, breakfast was nice and great lighting in room

  • Yurii from Ukraine (9/10)

The room looks fresh, not worn out. Everything works as it should. A quiet bed that holds your spine well. And it really is a double bed, not a “1.5“ bed. A large TV for such a room. The ventilation is serviced, does not smell like dust as it usually does and works quietly (for the night).

  • Mulholland from United Kingdom (10/10)

The location was perfect with a train station a stones throw away. 5 minutes walk to the main square. The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. They were also able to book excursions if needed.

  • Nikolaos from Greece (10/10)

Very nice rooms, best location, very good room service, very good hotel facilities (restaraunt and bar)
