Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places that call themselves “aparthotels,” and honestly, most of them are just regular hotel rooms with a mini-fridge thrown in the corner. Vinfort Aparthotel is different though – and I mean genuinely different, not just marketing speak different.

The first thing that hits you when you walk in is how much space you actually have. These aren’t cramped studio situations where your bed doubles as your dining table. You get proper living areas with real kitchens – I’m talking full-size appliances, decent counter space, and enough cookware that you could actually make a proper meal if you wanted to. Which, you know what, sometimes you do after a few days of restaurant food. The bedrooms are separate (revolutionary concept, apparently), and the bathrooms have this really nice rainfall shower setup that actually has good water pressure. I’ve learned not to take that for granted after too many disappointing hotel experiences.

What really won me over though was how the staff operates here. Check-in was smooth – none of that “your room isn’t ready even though it’s 4 PM” nonsense. The front desk folks seem to genuinely know the area too, not just the tourist trap recommendations. When I asked about where to grab coffee in the morning, they pointed me toward this local place around the corner instead of their overpriced lobby café. Small thing, but it shows they’re thinking about your actual experience, not just their bottom line. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive – they get the balance right between keeping things clean and not making you feel like you’re living in someone else’s space. Parking can be a bit tight during busy periods (fair warning), but there’s usually something available if you’re not rolling in at peak hours. The building itself is pretty quiet – you might hear some hallway chatter occasionally, but nothing that’ll keep you up at night. I actually appreciated that it felt lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense.

Here’s the thing about Vinfort – it sits in that sweet spot where you get the services and reliability of a good hotel, but with the space and flexibility that actually makes a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. Whether you’re there for business and need room to spread out your laptop and papers, or you’re doing the family vacation thing and want space for everyone to decompress, it just works. The 4-star rating feels accurate – it’s polished and well-run without being fussy about it. And that 9.4 rating from other guests? Yeah, I get it. Sometimes places earn those high scores through genuine quality rather than flashy amenities, and this is one of those times.

  Do not be fooled by the façade as from the outside, it's not so nice. We were a family of 3 on the 2nd floor. Yes, there are several stairs, especially when you have to carry luggage.
  But the room itself is brilliant, very modern & very spacious.
  Everything is nice about it. The bathroom had several shower gel, shampoo & body lotion bottles, enough toilet paper, and lovely embossed towels. The kitchen is complete with a dishwasher, tea making facilities & a very good fridge/freezer. The huge double bed was beautifully made up. The decor is so chic. Even the light grey patterned fitted carpet is lovely. The sofa bed with storage for 2 pillows & and quilt was really comfortable. Even the bedside small night light came in handy at night.
  The TV had several channels to choose from. The huge window overlooks someone's backyard, but that's not a problem. The best thing is that coming out of the hotel, turn right, just a few steps & you're bang in the middle of the main square where there are shops, bars & restaurants! The location is great & so very central.We were there during New Year. The lovely manager, Gabriela, surprised us by giving us a gift… a bottle of bubbly champagne! We were very humbled by this lovely gesture! It shows how much the staff appreciate their guests. A highly recommended hotel in Krakow!

  If you are in Krakow to visit the old town, Vinfort is a few steps from the main square.
  
  They provide codes for the main entrance and the door to your room so access is very easy and there is no need for check in and check out.
  
  You can easily reach someone on WhatsApp if you need anything.
  
  The room is nicely designed and well heated during winter, you easily control the room temperature.
  
  There is no elevator so you must be able to climb flights of stairs to get to the room.
