You know what struck me first about Vintage Studencka 1? The building itself – I mean, you’re literally staying in a restored tenement house right in the heart of Krakow’s Old Town, and the moment you step inside, there’s this perfect balance between historical character and actually functional modern living. The apartment sits on Studencka Street, which honestly is one of those quiet cobblestone lanes that tourists usually rush past on their way to the main square, but that’s exactly what makes this spot so brilliant.

The space feels authentically Krakow – high ceilings with original details that haven’t been sanitized away, hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a centuries-old building, but everything works properly (the wifi is solid, the shower has decent pressure, stuff like that actually matters when you’re traveling). What really gets me is how thoughtfully it’s been set up – there’s a proper kitchen if you want to grab some fresh bread from the bakery around the corner on Floriańska, and the living area has these big windows that let in amazing light during the day. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be fancy, just genuinely comfortable and well-maintained.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a three-minute walk to the main square – close enough that you can pop back easily but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of street performers and tour groups. The Barbican is practically at your doorstep, and if you head down toward Planty Park in the evening, it’s this lovely quiet walk that feels like you’ve got the city to yourself. Parking can be tricky (it’s Old Town, after all), but there are a few options nearby if you’re driving in. The 9.1 rating doesn’t surprise me at all – whoever runs this place clearly pays attention to the details that actually matter, like having decent coffee supplies and making sure the place feels clean without that sterile hotel smell. I’d definitely come back, especially in shoulder season when Krakow is less crowded but still has that perfect Central European atmosphere.

  The location of the apartment is excellent – a couple of minutes walk to the main square. Couldn’t ask for a better location.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is on the third floor with no lift. It wasn’t an issue for us because we only had cabin bags and we didn’t go back and forth to the apartment much, we would leave for the day come back in the evening to freshen up before dinner so not many trips but if you have mobility issues it will be a issue. The apartment was clean and comfortable, private and safe.

  Fantastic location, easy to walk around all of the Old town from the apartment. Clean rooms and everything you need included in the apartment (iron, hairdryer, tv, cooking hob). The balcony is a nice touch also. Would highly recommend for groups of 3-5.
  
  What could be improved: Tricky to get into apartment with the different keys and locks but easy to figure out after one or two goes. However, this is reassuring that the apartment is very safe.
