You know what surprised me most about Wawel Apartments? How quiet it actually gets at night, even though you’re literally in the thick of Old Town. I mean, you’d expect constant noise with all those late-night revelers stumbling around the cobblestones, but somehow these places are tucked away just enough that you can actually sleep.

The thing is, this isn’t your typical hotel setup – it’s proper apartments, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights. You’ve got a real kitchen (not just a sad mini-fridge), and the living spaces feel like, well, actual living spaces instead of those cramped hotel boxes. The three-star rating might make you think it’s pretty basic, but that 8.5 guest rating tells the real story. People keep coming back because it just works. The apartments have this lived-in feel – not fancy, but comfortable in that “I could actually imagine living here” way. Some units have these amazing views toward Wawel Castle (hence the name, obviously), and on a clear morning when the light hits those medieval walls… honestly, it’s pretty magical.

Location-wise, you’re spoiled here. I’m talking like a three-minute walk to the main square – you can literally hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s Basilica if your windows are open. But here’s the insider thing most tourists don’t realize: you’re also perfectly positioned for the early morning bakery run before the crowds hit. There’s this little place on Grodzka Street that does the most incredible obwarzanek (those twisted Polish bagels), and you can grab them warm around 7 AM, then walk back through the empty square like you own the city. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town, so forget about driving here if you can help it. But the tram connections are solid, and honestly, once you’re here, everything you want to see is walkable anyway. The only real downside I noticed is that some of the apartments can feel a bit dated – we’re talking functional but not Instagram-worthy – and the WiFi can be spotty depending on which unit you get. But for the price point and that location? You’re not going to do much better. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because it feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in tourist accommodation.

  The apartment was clean, spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. The best part were the beds, they were really comfortable, even the sofa bed. Great location too.

  Good location, 5 minutes walk from Grzegorzki train station (direct link to the airport), and tram stops. Within walking distance of the old town or Jewish quarter.
  The apartment was very spacious with two separate bedrooms, both with tv's, although only one English channel (news) and couldn't access Netflix.
  The apartment was on the 4th floor with no lift, so could be difficult if you have issues climbing stairs.
  Overall, the accommodation was very good and competitively priced. I would definitely choose this accommodation again when visiting Krakow.

  Location was brilliant, a short walk to the main square and public transport on the doorstep. The best location for being accessible to everything but nice and quiet at night.
  Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay and great communication regarding the booking prior to our stay with really quick responses.
  The room was spacious, clean and well equipped, certainly had everything we needed for our stay.
  On one occasion our water was cold however within minutes of calling reception, a lovely gentleman came to our apartment to sort this out for us. He adjusted the water temperature and explained all about the water system they use. He was friendly, efficient and apologetic, we couldn't fault the accommodations response to this issue.
  The underfloor heating was a lovely touch, we did find the room to be very warm at times however we were provided with a modern fan for this which was great.
  Highly reccomend this accomodation!

  I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful apartment, and I couldn't have been more impressed! It was exactly as described. The location was perfect, just a short walk from all the key attractions in the area, making it super convenient for exploring.

  The apartment was amazing., We knew when we booked that our apartment wasn't directly beside reception. We arrived early and were allowed to put our bags in a room while we went out sightseeing and they texted us when apartment was ready. It was a short walk across road from reception to our apartment.
  There was a door key for security and up on 3rd floor we found our spacious 2 bedroom apartment.
  
  We could not fault one thing about the apartment it had everything we needed rooms were spacious living space and kitchen were spacious and had everything we required.
  
  This apartment was ideally located a 10 minute walk to main square and 10 minute walk to wawel castle. Nothing what so ever to complain about.
  
  I would defo stay here again and have already recommended to a few people looking at booking trips to Krakow.
