You know what struck me first about this place? The fact that they actually mention parking in the name – and honestly, if you’ve ever tried to navigate a car through Krakow’s Old Town, you’ll understand why that’s basically gold. Wawrzyńca Apartment sits right on Świętego Wawrzyńca street, which sounds intimidating to pronounce but is actually this quiet little stretch that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos around the main square (even though you’re literally a five-minute walk from everything).

The apartment itself has that perfect balance of old Polish character without making you feel like you’re staying in a museum. I mean, the building’s got history – you can feel it in the thick walls and the way sounds just sort of disappear once you’re inside. The owners clearly put thought into the details that actually matter: really good wifi (tested it during a work call, no issues), proper blackout curtains for those summer nights when it stays light until like 9 PM, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – excellent water pressure. After a day of walking on cobblestones, that shower hits different. The parking situation is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving. Most places in the Old Town either don’t have it or charge you an arm and a leg, but here it’s just… included. Simple as that.

What really sells this place though is the location knowledge you get without trying. You’re close enough to Florian’s Gate that you can pop over for morning coffee before the crowds hit, but far enough that you’re not hearing drunk tourists singing at 2 AM. There’s this little bakery two streets over – I think it’s on Mikołajska – where locals actually go for bread, not the touristy stuff. The 9.3 rating makes sense once you stay here; it’s one of those places that just works without any drama. Check-in was smooth, the space was exactly as advertised, and when I had a question about restaurant recommendations, I got actual local suggestions, not the usual tourist trap list. If you’re the type who wants to experience Krakow like you live there for a few days instead of just passing through, this is your spot.

  Well equiped apartment and large enough for 4 adults. Good wifi, well equiped kitchen, nice bathroom and roomy bedrooms. Easy access and a lift to the floors.Great location. We were there in the heat but there were lots of fans in each room to keep the temperatures down.
