Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Wegierska Luxury Loft? I was expecting another cookie-cutter apartment rental, but walking into this place actually felt like stepping into someone’s thoughtfully curated home – if that someone happened to have impeccable taste and a serious budget for interior design.
The location in Podgórze is honestly brilliant, though it might not seem obvious at first glance. Most tourists stick to the Old Town side of the river, but being on Węgierska street puts you in this quietly hip neighborhood that’s become Krakow’s answer to Brooklyn (I mean that in the best way). You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Vistula riverbank where locals jog and walk their dogs, and there’s this fantastic little café called Café Camelot just around the corner that serves the kind of coffee that ruins you for hotel lobby brew forever. The tram connections are solid too – you can get to the main square in about ten minutes, but honestly, I found myself wanting to explore this side of the river more than I expected.
Inside, the loft lives up to that “luxury” part of the name without being stuffy about it. The ceilings are high enough that you don’t feel cramped (crucial in European apartments, let’s be real), and whoever designed this place understood that business travelers need actual workspace, not just a tiny desk shoved in a corner. The kitchen is fully equipped – not just mini-fridge equipped, but actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco down the street and cook something real. I appreciated the washing machine too, because after a week of travel, you know how it is. The Wi-Fi was consistently fast, which matters more than people admit when they’re writing these reviews.
The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be a five-star hotel with concierge service and marble everything, but it nails what it’s actually going for – a sophisticated, comfortable base that feels more like borrowing a friend’s amazing apartment than staying in generic accommodation. The check-in process was smooth (they send you codes ahead of time, very efficient), and the building itself is quiet enough that I never had issues with noise, even on weekend nights. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area, but there’s street parking if you’re patient, or a paid lot about two blocks away if you’re not.
What really sold me on this place was how it made me feel like I was living in Krakow rather than just visiting it. Instead of rushing back to some hotel in the tourist zone every night, I found myself stopping by the local market, chatting with the woman who runs the flower stand on the corner, taking evening walks along the river. That’s worth way more than thread counts and fancy lobby art, honestly.

Very clean and comfortable. Also walking distance to Kazimierz and krakow . We stayed there for 6 days . Loved the place .
What could be improved: I think the only issue was the stairs and no laundromat. There’s no elevator so If you have big luggage , this might be and issue. The apartment is located on a 3rd floor.Great price for a splendid apartment near city centre – Abril from Germany – December 13, 2022 (8/10)
It was very well located and the self check-in was easy. The decoration was impeccable and it felt like a magazine house, specially the bathroom. All of the beds were pretty confortable and bedsheets were clean.
What could be improved: The lighting of the apartment was not so great. A couple of the lights were not working, the on/off system was pretty but could be easier like the normal ones. We couldn’t turn off the light on the night table in the main bedroom and lighting in the kitchen could’ve been better.Real rating – Nawahda from Israel – May 19, 2025 (1/10)
What could be improved: There are a lot of stairs in the building and there is no elevator. Okay, we understand that it is an old building, but people need to know in advance that there are a lot of stairs. Thank you
