White Room Piłsudskiego 1 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to White Room Piłsudskiego 1, you might actually miss it at first — it’s tucked into a historic building on one of Kraków’s most prestigious streets, right where the Old Town meets the modern city center. The entrance feels more like stepping into an upscale apartment than a traditional hotel, which honestly makes perfect sense once you see the intimate scale of this three-star property. There’s something refreshingly understated about the whole approach, especially when you’re used to the typical hotel lobby fanfare.
Location & Neighborhood
I mean, you really can’t get more central than this — Piłsudskiego Street is basically Kraków’s main artery, and being at number 1 puts you right at the intersection of everything that matters. The Main Market Square is literally a two-minute walk away, and I’ve watched guests pop out for morning coffee and come back with armfuls of flowers from the flower market. What couples seem to love most (and honestly, the 9.7 location rating from couples makes total sense) is that you can walk to those romantic evening spots along the Vistula River, then stumble back to your room without dealing with taxis or trams.
The Room Experience
The “white room” concept isn’t just clever branding — they’ve actually created these clean, minimalist spaces that feel surprisingly spacious despite the historic building constraints. You know what struck me most? The attention to lighting, which can make or break a room this pared-down. The windows are generous for an Old Town property, and during the day you get this lovely natural light that bounces off those white walls. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase.
Practical Considerations
Here’s where staying in the real heart of Kraków gets interesting — you’re in a pedestrian-friendly zone, which means no pulling up to a grand entrance with your luggage. But honestly, most guests seem to figure this out pretty quickly, and the trade-off for being steps from everything is worth the minor inconvenience. The building itself has that old-world charm you’d expect, though don’t expect an elevator (fairly typical for historic Kraków properties). The staff keeps things running smoothly despite the intimate scale, and they’re genuinely helpful with local recommendations.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5 overall rating tells the real story — this place delivers on its promise of putting you right in the center of everything without the typical tourist hotel atmosphere. Couples especially seem to appreciate the romantic potential of the location combined with the clean, uncluttered room design that lets Kraków itself be the star of the show. You’re paying for location and thoughtful design rather than extensive amenities, and for most visitors to Kraków, that’s exactly the right trade-off. When you can walk to Wawel Castle, the Jewish Quarter, and the best restaurants in the city, you really don’t need much more than a comfortable, well-located base.
Hotels in Krakow offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval masterpiece, with easy access to castles, churches, and traditional Polish experiences.

Reviews of White Room Piłsudskiego 1
Yvonne from Finland (10/10)
It was a very clean and nice looking apartment. Good location, and quiet. You could hear the street sounds a bit inside but it didn't bother us and in nighttime it was quiet in the street even in the weekend.
Iwona was really helpful with all our questions and let us check in earlier and check out later then the normal times, so that it was more suitable to our flights.Elizabeth from United Kingdom (10/10)

Really good instructions on how to enter the building via Whatsapp. The host was also happy to answer any questions. Really good location, modern and clean building. The room is well equipt and spacious for a studio. Great amenities (although hair conditioner would have been a bonus) and exceptionally clean.
