You know what struck me first about Wielopole17? It’s this perfectly restored building that somehow manages to feel both historic and completely modern at the same time. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Main Square – and I’m talking like a two-minute walk here – but tucked onto this quieter street where you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tour groups at all hours. The Miro apartment itself has this gorgeous AC system that actually works (honestly, after staying in some older European places where “climate control” means opening a window, this was refreshing).

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the chaos. Wielopole runs parallel to the main tourist drag, so you get all the benefits of Old Town without your window facing a medieval square filled with horse carriages at 6 AM. I could walk to St. Mary’s Basilica in literally three minutes, but when I came back at night, the street was peaceful enough that I could actually sleep. The building has this beautiful courtyard entry – very typical Krakow architecture – and the apartment gets great natural light during the day. What really impressed me was how they’ve maintained the original character (those high ceilings, the restored hardwood floors) while adding everything you actually need, like proper WiFi and a kitchen that’s not just for show.

The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s one of those places where you can tell someone really thought about the guest experience – not in a corporate hotel way, but more like how you’d set up a place for friends visiting. The AC was a lifesaver during my July stay (Krakow summers can be surprisingly muggy), and honestly, the whole setup just worked. You’re close enough to Kazimierz that you can easily walk there for dinner, the Cloth Hall is right around the corner for your obligatory souvenir shopping, and if you need groceries or pharmacy runs, there’s everything you need within a few blocks. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because, well, why complicate a good thing? It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re living in Krakow rather than just passing through it.

  Excellent location, next to a railway station and some tram stops as well as a short walk from the centre. Shops and a pierogi stall are nearby. The apartment had everything we needed. Though there were so many good and good value restaurants nearby we ended up not cooking. The wifi was very good.

  Although The property is compact it had everything we needed. It’s beautifully presented, very clean and a well organised layout. the bed is really comfortable, the shower and the AC work well. This apartment is in the heart of the city and only a few minutes walk from the Old Town Square. Tram, bus and excursion pick up points are literally a one minute walk away. The host was very responsive to questions I had prior to our stay and sent detailed information

  The apartment is in a great location, short walk from shops and fresh food market Hala Targowa. The old city is less than 10 minutes walking distance. The kitchen has everything required to prepare quick meal. Very comfortable home away from home.

  It was really central and exactly as pictured. the owners were super helpful too and booked us taxis to and from the airport and booked us for a couple of trips – they were great at communicating and very helpful.
