WillaWawel – LoftAffair Collection Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name WillaWawel – LoftAffair Collection, I was expecting something a bit pretentious. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s got that whole industrial-chic thing going on without trying too hard, if that makes sense. The moment you walk in, there’s this raw concrete and exposed brick vibe that feels authentically converted rather than artificially designed. I mean, you can tell someone put real thought into preserving whatever this building used to be while making it actually livable.
The loft spaces themselves are honestly pretty impressive – high ceilings that make you feel like you’re not staying in some cramped hotel box, and these massive windows that flood everything with natural light during the day. I stayed there in early fall, and mornings were just gorgeous with the way the light hit those polished concrete floors. The kitchenette setup is actually functional too, which is rare – I’ve seen too many hotel “kitchens” that are basically decorative. Here you can actually make coffee that doesn’t taste like hotel lobby brew, and there’s enough counter space to spread out if you’re the type who needs to work while traveling. The Wi-Fi held up fine for video calls, though I’d avoid peak evening hours if you’re doing anything bandwidth-heavy.
What really gets me about this place is how it manages to feel both urban and comfortable at the same time. The neighborhood has this lived-in authenticity – you’ll hear some street noise, but it’s the good kind that reminds you you’re actually somewhere, not isolated in some sterile hotel bubble. There’s a bakery about two blocks down that locals actually go to (not just tourists), and honestly, their morning pastries beat anything you’d get from room service. The front desk staff seemed to actually know the area too, which is refreshing – they pointed me toward this little wine bar tucked away on a side street that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking can be a bit of a hunt depending on when you arrive, but the neighborhood is walkable enough that you might not need your car much once you’re settled. That 9.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be a five-star palace, but for what it is, it delivers. The price point feels fair for what you get, and there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels more like a temporary apartment than a hotel room.

The property was amazing, Location is perfect 5 minute walk to river cruise two minutes to castle and a pick up point for most of the excursions. A lovely walk through the park into the old town again only 10 minutes if that. The apartment was well equipped tea coffee and toiletries if required Wifi was brilliant and not that we turned TV on but Netflix etc available. Can highly recommend this property and would go back to it again in a heartbeat. I had to ask for additional door card as if I nipped to shops while wife getting ready you need the key for the power in apartment but also to leave you needed key to open gate, This was dropped off the same day and wasn’t a problem for the owner at all thanks 👍
