You know what surprised me about Yourplace Central Apartments? It actually feels like staying in someone’s well-designed home rather than another cookie-cutter hotel room. I mean, when you’re walking down Mickiewicza – which, honestly, most tourists butcher the pronunciation of – you might almost miss it at first glance. But once you’re inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone put real thought into making the space work for people who are actually living there for a few days, not just crashing overnight.

The apartments themselves are what I’d call “thoughtfully modern” – you’ve got proper kitchen setups with full-size fridges (not those tiny hotel bar fridges that fit maybe two bottles of water), decent counter space for spreading out groceries from the nearby Tesco, and actual dining areas where you can sit down for breakfast without perching on the edge of your bed. The living spaces feel genuinely livable, with couches that are actually comfortable and windows that let in proper light. What I really appreciated was the little stuff – good WiFi that doesn’t cut out when you’re trying to video call home, blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun if you want to sleep in, and bathrooms with decent water pressure and space to hang your wet clothes.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the main square in about fifteen minutes – pleasant when the weather’s decent, though I’d grab a tram or taxi when it’s pouring. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in Krakow feel; you’ll pass locals heading to work, small cafes that aren’t overrun with tour groups, and you’re close enough to Planty Park that morning jogs are totally doable. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (street parking fills up fast, and I learned that the hard way), but honestly, once you’re settled in, you probably won’t need a car much. The tram connections are solid, and there’s something nice about getting your morning coffee from the little place around the corner rather than some hotel lobby that charges tourist prices. The 8.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re settling in somewhere for more than just a night or two.

  They provided dishwashing items, washing machine tablets and a clothes washer. The pillows were very comfortable and so was the bed. Aircon was a big plus as it was over 30°C when we stayed here. The actual location of the property was really good as it was very close walking distance to the centre of old town (about 5mins up the road) with heaps of bars, pubs, restaurants, etc to go to.
  
  What could be improved: The address advertised on the listing was different to the actual address. The address on the listing is for the carpark which is a 10-15mins walk away from the property. This was a little annoying as we wanted to be close to the train station as we had large heavy bags. This made the walk from the station to the accommodation a 30-35min walk instead of 20mins.
  The clothes washer was located directly outside of our room so we could hear it every time someone turned it on since it was a communal washer.
