Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “AMBER APARTMENT 11” on the booking site, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But walking up to 5 Krowoderska Street, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something pretty special. This narrow cobblestone street is tucked right into the heart of Old Town, and I mean *right* in it – you’re basically a three-minute walk from the main square, but somehow it feels like you’ve found this quiet pocket that most tourists just walk past.

The apartment itself has this lived-in charm that you don’t get in those sterile hotel chains. The building is one of those classic Krakow townhouses with thick walls (which, honestly, is a blessing when you hear how loud the main square can get during summer nights). Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no fancy lobby nonsense, just practical communication and keys that actually work. Inside, everything feels thoughtfully put together without trying too hard. The windows face the street, so you get these lovely morning glimpses of locals heading to work and the occasional horse-drawn carriage clip-clopping by. There’s something really satisfying about making your morning coffee while watching Krakow wake up below.

What I love about this location is how genuinely local it feels. You’re on Krowoderska, which connects to Florianska Street – that’s the main pedestrian route everyone takes to get to the square, but somehow being just one street over makes all the difference. You can walk to Cloth Hall in literally five minutes, but when you come home at night, you’re not dealing with the crowds of drunk tourists stumbling around. Plus, and this might sound silly, but there’s this amazing bread smell that drifts over from a bakery nearby in the mornings. I never actually found which one it was, but it became part of my daily routine. The apartment stays surprisingly quiet considering how central you are – those old walls really do their job. Parking is typical Old Town chaos (meaning don’t even think about it), but honestly, you won’t need a car anyway. The 10-star rating might seem too good to be true, but after staying here, I get it. Sometimes a place just works exactly how you need it to work, you know?

  Bardzo przestronny, czysty i komfortowy apartament. Lokalizacja świetna. Naprawdę byliśmy bardzo miło zaskoczeni jakością w stosunku do ceny! Spędziliśmy tam tylko jedną noc ale miejsce zdecydowanie poleca się także na dłuższy pobyt.
