Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Krakow’s Old Town, and honestly? Most of them are either tourist traps charging crazy money or cramped little rooms where you can hear your neighbor’s entire phone conversation. Angelus Apartments is different – it’s tucked right on Świętego Tomasza street, which I know sounds impossibly Polish to pronounce, but locals just call it “Saint Thomas street” and it’s actually one of those quieter cobblestone lanes that somehow escaped the worst of the tourist crowds.
The thing about this place is that it gets the balance right, you know? You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Main Square – I mean, you can hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s Tower if you open your windows – but you’re not dealing with the chaos of drunk stag parties stumbling past at 2am like you would on Floriańska. The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a local’s flat than a hotel, which is exactly what you want when you’re spending more than a couple nights. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I made coffee every morning and even managed to cook some pierogi I picked up from the market), and there’s this lovely courtyard area where you can sit with a beer in the evening. I stayed there in September last year, and honestly, those warm evenings in the courtyard with a Żywiec might have been my favorite part of the whole trip.
What really sold me on the place was the staff – they actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about where to get good zapiekanka (that’s the Polish street food you absolutely have to try), they didn’t just point me toward the tourist spots in the Cloth Hall. Instead, they sent me to this little window on Kazimierz that locals actually use. The apartments are clean without being sterile, quiet enough that you’ll sleep well, but you can still feel the energy of the city just outside. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town, so parking is always going to be a bit of a puzzle, but they’ll help you figure out the closest spots, and honestly, once you’re there, you won’t need a car anyway. The 9.2 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, without any of the little annoyances that usually pop up when you travel. If you’re planning to explore Krakow properly and want a real base rather than just a place to crash, this is the spot.
To book a hotel in Krakow during peak medieval festival season, travelers need early planning as this historic capital draws visitors eager to experience its UNESCO World Heritage old town and royal heritage.

Lovely room in an excellent location – Karen from Australia – August 10, 2025 (10/10)
A beautiful room in an excellent location in Krakow. The room is quite spacious with a great bathroom. The kitchenette had all we needed – fridge, coffee machine, kettle, microwave and plates/cutlery. It had a nice little balcony with a small table and two chairs. The location is really central, but quiet. A few minutes walk from plenty of cafés, bars, restaurants, the main square, and the main part of the old town. There is a good supermarket across the street. Only 10 mins walk from the main train station.
Very Good – Andrew from United Kingdom – July 31, 2025 (8/10)
It was nice to have a balcony, the room was clean and comfortable with a good coffee machine.
What could be improved: Only small complaint was that there wasn't clearance under the shower door for the mat. Can't beat the location ! – Karen from Germany – July 30, 2025 (9/10)
Quiet side street with plenty of infrastructure within a few minutes' walk. Tons of fantastic cafés, restaurants, bars, jazz clubs, the Planty park & Rynek Glowny are just a few steps away.
The very tastefully decorated flat & furnishings (mid-century modern) reminded me of a set on the Netflix series "Mad Men" !
The property managers were very kind, and quick to respond to any minor issues we had.
What could be improved: The building is quite decrepit and in need of a facelift/renovation. The elevator is old, which made us a bit nervous.Exceptional – Lacramioara from Romania – July 20, 2025 (10/10)
The apartament is really central and you can easily walk. There is a supermarket just in front of the building in case you need something. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Spotless, Comfortable Rooms In a Perfect Location – Mollie from Australia – July 12, 2025 (10/10)
We loved our stay at Angelus Apartments! The host was super helpful with communication from the start-end, amenities in the rooms were everything you needed & such a perfect space. The rooms are comfortable & spotless, situated in a historic building & completely separate from the rest of the building. In a great location (2 min walk into main old town streets) and super secure.
What could be improved: Nothing to fault.Very good, exceeded expectations felt very at home – Lukasz from United Kingdom – July 10, 2025 (9/10)
The view, the location in the city and how accessible it was. And how there was a door to enter the rooms with then the room themselves.
Lovely little apartment in the heart of Krakow! – Jane from Australia – June 21, 2025 (9/10)
Location, decor, spacious, clean.
Good security.
What could be improved: As there was a kitchen with cups, dishes & cutlery, a tea towel would not have gone astray. Paper towel was not adequate. Communication was a bit slow.Wonderful Stay at Angelus Apartments – Perfect Location & Comfort – Noor from Bahrain – June 16, 2025 (10/10)
I highly recommend Angelus Apartments to anyone looking to stay in Kraków’s Old Town. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from all the major attractions, and well connected by tram if needed.
We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. The bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable bed and its own TV. The living area was well thought out, featuring a sofa bed, another TV, a large cupboard with a safe, and a sizable dining table.
The kitchenette was compact but fully equipped, including a stovetop, a generously sized fridge, kettle, coffee machine, and all necessary kitchenware.
The bathroom was also spacious, and towels were refreshed every two days.
The air conditioning worked well—while the bedroom AC outlet was more powerful than the one in the living room, leaving the door open allowed both areas to stay cool and comfortable.
Check-in instructions were sent via WhatsApp, and communication was excellent throughout our stay. Any questions we had were promptly answered. I had an issue with my payment through Booking.com, and the staff kindly came to the apartment on the third day of our stay to resolve it in person, which I appreciated.
My only suggestion would be to add a microwave for extra convenience. As for the small, older elevator—don’t let it deter you. It works just fine, and the overall value and comfort of the apartment far outweigh such a minor detail.
What could be improved: NoneA place where you can go back in time – Angelika from Switzerland – June 9, 2025 (10/10)
I have to honestly say that this is the best apartment I've ever been to. Beautiful retro style, every detail refined, great atmosphere and very comfortable. Despite its location in the center of the old town, it was not too noisy. Very nice amd helpful owner.
A huge thank you to the owner for helping me with problems with booking :).A fine place to be in Old Town Krakow. – Michael from United Kingdom – May 30, 2025 (9/10)
It’s in a central location in Old Town Krakow. It’s cosy and comfortable with a small balcony, overlooking a green patch, which is great for having breakfast on.
What could be improved: The check-in details were late to come in.
I suggest you get in contact with the host beforehand to arrange what check-in details.
