Honestly, when I first walked up to Apartamenty Skawińska 10, I wasn’t expecting much – just another apartment rental in Krakow’s Old Town. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The building sits on this quiet residential street that most tourists completely miss, even though you’re literally a five-minute walk from the main square. I mean, you can hear the horse carriages clopping by on the cobblestones if you really listen, but it’s not that constant buzz of tour groups that drives you crazy when you’re trying to sleep.

The apartments themselves feel like someone’s stylish Polish grandmother got a modern makeover – and I say that as a complete compliment. There’s this perfect balance between old Krakow charm (think high ceilings and original hardwood floors that creak just enough to feel authentic) and actually functional amenities that work properly. The kitchens are surprisingly well-equipped too, which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights or – like me – you got tired of pierogi after day three and wanted to cook something simple. What really sold me though was stepping out onto the little balcony in the morning with coffee and realizing I could see the spires of St. Mary’s Basilica peeking between the buildings. It’s one of those moments that makes you feel like you’re living in Krakow rather than just visiting it.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience the city like a local but still have easy access to all the tourist stuff. Skawińska street connects you to everything – walk one direction and you’re at Planty Park (great for morning jogs, by the way), walk the other and you hit the Jewish Quarter where the real nightlife happens. There’s this tiny grocery store called Żabka right around the corner that stays open late, plus a pharmacy that actually speaks English if you need it. Parking can be tricky during peak season – well, it’s tricky everywhere in Old Town – but they’ll give you solid advice about where to leave your car without getting towed. The whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward key-passing-through-neighbors situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. With a 9.1 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to make travelers happy without trying too hard, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city like Krakow.

  The location of the apartment is fantastic. Right in the heart of the lively Kazimierz district. The check-in instructions were simple and clear and the apartment was very cosy and clean.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing to be improved is to provide two towels per person as we were only given one for our body and not for the face.

  Lovely apartment in a good location as it was very close to a tramline into the city.
  Decent size apartment and secure entry.
  Had most things we needed but no bottle opener or tea towels.
  Bed was comfy but the pillows were very soft.

  Cleaning could have been a little better as the oven still had previous use visible and cobwebs in the corners.
  Overall, we were happy with the apartment and location.

  Great stay! Well equipped, clean, small but didn’t feel small. In a great location that was close to nice restaurants, bars and public transport but also nice and quiet. Check in was easy and facilities were great, would recommend!
  
  What could be improved: At times was quite warm in the unit even despite the radiator all the way down, but we could open the window.

  It's very clean and spacious for a couple.

  Very nice cozy apartment. In the Kazimier quarter. At your doorstep had pharmacy, supermarkets and restaurants. Our room was on the 5th floor and of course there was the lift.
