Hotel Description
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Aparthotel Globus, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up surprising you. This aparthotel sits right in the heart of Kraków, and I mean properly central – you can actually hear the clip-clop of horse carriages from the main square echoing down the cobblestone streets in the early morning before the city fully wakes up.
The thing about Globus is that it feels more like staying in someone’s well-kept apartment than a traditional hotel, which honestly works in its favor. The rooms have that lived-in comfort without being shabby – proper kitchenettes with everything you’d actually need (not just a mini-fridge and hope), decent-sized windows that let in plenty of light, and surprisingly good water pressure in the showers. I mean, after walking around Kraków’s Old Town all day – and trust me, you’ll be doing a lot of walking on those medieval stones – a proper hot shower hits different. The staff at reception genuinely seems to know the city inside out, not just the tourist trap restaurants but the places where locals actually eat pierogi at 2 AM after a night out in Kazimierz.
What really sold me on this place was how it handles the balance between being central and being livable. Yeah, you’re going to get some street noise – it’s Kraków, not a monastery – but the double-glazed windows do their job well enough. The neighborhood around Globus has this perfect mix of authentic Polish life and tourist accessibility. You’ve got your proper grocery stores within a five-minute walk (crucial when you have that kitchenette), but you’re also close enough to St. Mary’s Basilica that you can pop over whenever the trumpet call from the tower strikes your fancy. The 7.4 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. Plus, and this matters more than you might think, the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, the heating kicks in properly during those brutal Polish winters, and checkout doesn’t feel like an interrogation. For the price point and location, Globus gets the fundamentals right while giving you that aparthotel independence that makes longer stays in Kraków feel less like being a tourist and more like being a temporary local.
Exploring Krakow offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s medieval heart, from its magnificent Wawel Castle to its bustling Market Square and timeless cultural traditions.

Perfect location – close to city center and public transport. You have a paid parking close to the hotel, I could even see my car from the room window 😊 Quite atmosphere in the hotel. Perfect check-in and check-out, 24h available. There is no reception desk but all my needs were fully fulfilled (like printing out the documents) in a partner hotel which is close to Globus.
If you have a longer stay – there is a perfect wardrobe corner in the room with a good number of hangers, this is a super comfortable option, I've loved it so much. You have also an electric heating battery in the bath so your towels/clothes can dry up.
And a PERFECT breakfast, one of the best I've ever seen (outside the hotel).
Good price for the comfort you get.Angela from Netherlands (7/10)
