You know what really struck me about Apartment Family Dreams Old Town? The location is absolutely perfect if you’re trying to balance that “authentic Krakow” vibe with actually being able to walk everywhere that matters. I mean, you’re on Lubomirskiego street in Grzegórzki, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is – it’s basically a quiet residential area that’s maybe a 12-minute walk to the main square. The locals call this part of town the “real Krakow,” and I get why.

The apartment itself has this refreshingly lived-in quality that you don’t get with those sterile hotel chains. When I walked in, there was this mix of old Polish character (think original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you where you are) and modern updates that actually work. The kitchen – and this is important if you’re traveling with kids or just want to grab groceries from the little market around the corner – has everything you’d need without feeling cramped. I actually cooked breakfast there a couple times, partly because the local bakery on the next street over closes early, partly because it was nice to have that option. The beds are solid, which matters more than people think, and the Wi-Fi reaches every room without those annoying dead spots.

Here’s the thing about staying in Grzegórzki that most guidebooks won’t tell you: you get this perfect buffer from the tourist chaos while still being close enough to duck into the Old Town whenever you want. The tram stops right at the end of the street (seriously, maybe 100 meters), and from there it’s two stops to Wawel Castle or three to the Jewish Quarter. But honestly, walking is just as easy and way more interesting – you’ll pass through these little pockets of local life that tour groups never see. There’s a fantastic pierogi place about halfway to the square that doesn’t even have an English sign, and the family running Apartment Family Dreams actually knows the owner. That 8.7 rating makes total sense when you experience little touches like that – they’re clearly people who live here and want you to experience their city properly, not just check boxes on some tourist itinerary. The only minor thing I’d mention is that weekend nights can get a bit lively (Polish university students know how to have fun), but it’s more charming than disruptive, and by 11 PM things settle down nicely.

Hotels near me in Krakow offer convenient access to the medieval center, where guests can easily walk to St. Mary’s Basilica, Cloth Hall, and traditional Polish restaurants.

  I stayed here with my mum and brother..My mum can be a little hard to please but even she was impressed..no complaints from her! The apartment had everything you needed, even a coffee machine! Washing machine ,iron and a hair dryer,the beds were really comfortable, so much so my mum who’s not the best sleeper didn’t get up at all during the night! I would highly recommend, and I would happily book this apartment for my next trip to krakow when I come again with my husband!

  Excellent communication with the host before the arrival and easy check-in instructions. Perfect location close to the railway station – only a walking distance away. Very clean apartment with a well thought-out layout and a nice design. A coffee machine and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!
  
  What could be improved: In the description it said it was a place with 3 beds/sofas whereas in fact there is a bedroom with a double bed and living room with a foldable sofa, which can be a bit misguiding.
