Arts Apartments – Kraków Old Town Overview
You know what struck me first about Arts Apartments? It’s tucked right in the heart of Kraków’s Old Town, but somehow it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in a tourist trap. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Main Square – I could hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s Basilica every hour, which honestly became kind of comforting after the first day. The building itself has this understated charm that fits perfectly with the cobblestone streets around it. It’s not trying to be fancy (it’s a solid 3-star place), but there’s something genuinely warm about how they’ve set up these apartments.
What really works here is that you get proper apartment living instead of just another hotel room. The kitchenette actually has everything you need – I ended up making coffee every morning and picking up fresh bread from the bakery around the corner on Grodzka Street. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. There are little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need – good lighting for reading, decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and surprisingly comfortable beds. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, though the water pressure varies depending on the time of day (totally normal for this part of the city, honestly). One thing to note – since you’re right in the Old Town, it can get lively outside, especially on weekends when the outdoor terraces fill up. But the windows are pretty good at keeping the noise manageable.
What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to know their neighborhood inside and out. They pointed me toward this little wine bar on Stolarska Street that I never would’ve found otherwise, and gave me the heads up about which tram lines to avoid during rush hour. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not about luxury, it’s about getting the details right. You’re paying for location and comfort, not marble bathrooms or a concierge in a suit. And honestly, when you can walk to Wawel Castle in ten minutes and stumble back from dinner without worrying about finding your way home, that’s worth quite a lot. The value proposition here is pretty solid, especially if you’re the type who’d rather spend money on good meals and experiences than on hotel amenities you won’t use anyway.

The apartment is beautiful with very nice decoration and the bedroom is very spacious. The spa bath is awesome. Very quiet in a really nice neighbourhood near coffee shops and other shops. Also very close to the old town and also the public transports. I highly recommend this place.

The apartment was absolutely beautiful and so close to the town everything was walking distance. I mentioned it was my partners birthday and a card was and bottle of fizz was there when we arrived which was so lovely. I contacted the owner for a few things and she was so helpful. Even sorted a trip to auschwitz with transfers so definitely recommend contacting her directly to sort that if you are wanting to go. Was our first trip to krakow but will not be the last. Thankyou again x

couldn’t be more pleased with the location. The hotel is just a short walk away from the Old Town, making it incredibly convenient to explore and see the local attractions. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to be close to the action but still enjoy a peaceful evening at the end of the day. The Room was perfectly cleaned when we arrived, with fresh towels and bed sheets. After a full day out, we realized we ran out of clean towels and it was quite late, however, our host sorted this out for us straight away. Unfortunately, my partner got food poisoning from the Ski Resort and straight away our host helped us with a 24hour chemist and medication to help with the sickness. Our host was amazing at communication and helping with our needs. I would 100% be staying at this apartment again and it is massively recommended.

Lovely clean apartment, comfy beds, and location was perfect just outside of the main square. Staff were very informative and helpful. Everything you need for a short stay in krakow. Would stay again on next visit.

We absolutely love staying here. This is the third time and won't be the last. It's a 7 minute walk to the square. It has door codes instead of keys and everything is sent over and explained in advance so no stressing when you arrive. No check in or check out to do you just arrive when you can after 4 and leave before 12. Beds are comfy, living room is spacious and everything is clean. Would definitely recommend.

Katarzyna helped us with any questions we had (for example arranging a transfer at 3 AM) and always responded super quick. Everything was clean and neat and the kitchen was small, but well supplied. Super close to the Christmas Market as well, around 7 min walk.
