Look, I’ll be straight with you about Dietla 99 – it’s one of those places that’s all about location, location, location, and honestly? They’ve nailed it. You’re basically planted right in the sweet spot where you can stumble to the Old Town in about ten minutes (I timed it), but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos right outside your window at 2 AM.

The building itself sits on Dietla Street, which – and this is something you won’t read in most guidebooks – is actually this perfect little corridor that locals use to zip between the Jewish Quarter and the main square. I mean, you’ll hear some street noise during the day since it’s a fairly busy road, but by evening things settle down nicely. The apartments themselves are pretty no-frills, which you’d expect from a 3-star setup, but they’re clean and functional. What I really appreciated was that they actually have proper kitchenettes – not those sad mini-fridges with a hot plate that some places try to pass off as “cooking facilities.” You know what I’m talking about.

Here’s the thing that surprised me though: the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about getting groceries, they didn’t just point me toward some overpriced tourist market – they told me about the little Żabka convenience store two blocks down and the proper supermarket on Starowiślna Street. That kind of local insight makes a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a quick weekend. The check-in was pretty smooth too, no weird complications with key cards or anything like that. I will say the rating of 7.2 feels about right – it’s solid, does exactly what it promises, but don’t expect to be blown away by luxury touches or Instagram-worthy interiors. The real selling point is that you can walk to Wawel Castle, hit up the bars in Kazimierz, and still grab dinner in the Main Market Square without ever needing to figure out Krakow’s tram system (though honestly, their trams are pretty great). For the price point and the location, especially if you’re the type who’d rather spend money on pierogi and beer than fancy hotel amenities, this place makes a lot of sense.

  Everything was clean. The bed was good, only the pillows were a little bit too soft for our taste. It was nice to have cutlery and some plates to eat breakfast, lunch or even diner in the apartment.

  Great location, we were the top floor so a LOT of steps to get home each evening. Room was bright and spacious and overall looked clean and modern. Friendly staff when checking in.

  The property was in a fantastic / easily accessible location with a tram and bus stop conveniently outside !. A convenience store a short 5 minute walk opposite the property. Had a real community vibe about it ! Felt really safe.

  Location was perfect; we walked mostly as we were so close to the Main Square and other main attractions but did use the trams and trains on rare occasions to go further afield, facilities were exactly what was needed and generally, everything was comfortable. Also, the decorations for my partners birthday were beyond expectations and had a lovely impact!
