Boom Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Boom Apartments on Batorego Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Krakow” feeling. The building sits right in Old Town — and I mean really in it, not on some touristy edge where they claim it’s central. You’re literally surrounded by centuries-old architecture, with the kind of cobblestone streets that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The entrance is understated in that European way, nothing flashy, but you can tell this three-star property takes care of the details that actually matter.
Location Magic
Honestly, the location here is pretty spectacular — couples seem to agree since they rate it 9.3, and I can see why. You’re a genuine two-minute walk from the Main Market Square, which means you can pop out for morning coffee at one of those tiny local cafes before the tour groups arrive. What I really appreciated was being able to duck back to the apartment when my feet got tired from all that sightseeing, then head out again for dinner without any complicated tram rides or taxi calls. The Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica, all those postcard-perfect spots — they’re basically your neighbors.
The Apartment Experience
The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room, which is exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city like Krakow. Each unit has that practical European efficiency — everything you need without unnecessary frills. The kitchenette actually works (I made coffee there every morning), and having a proper living space means you can spread out your maps, charge all your devices, and actually relax. The decor strikes a nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the historic building you’re staying in.
Neighborhood Life
What really makes Boom Apartments special is how it drops you right into authentic Krakow life. In the morning, you’ll hear the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages heading to the square, but you’re also close enough to normal neighborhood spots where locals actually go. There’s a small grocery store around the corner — perfect for grabbing snacks or that bottle of Polish vodka you promised to bring home. The restaurants nearby aren’t all tourist traps either; you can find places where you’ll hear more Polish than English, which honestly makes the whole experience feel more genuine.
Why Guests Love It
The thing about this place is that it gets the fundamentals right without trying too hard. You’re not paying for a fancy lobby or room service you don’t need — you’re paying for an unbeatable location and comfortable, clean apartments that let you live like a temporary local. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you consider that most guests probably spend their days exploring the incredible city outside, then come back to a peaceful, well-located base. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having your own little apartment in one of Europe’s most beautiful old towns, being able to wander back from dinner through those magical medieval streets.
Hotel in Krakow booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural festivals and medieval celebrations.

Location was somewhat 20 mins walking to the town – not exactly so bad. Host didn’t send us the key collection instructions until I asked. Apartment was a bit small (very small bathroom). Bed was very uncomfortable.
