Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Divon Luxury Apartments? The moment you walk through that entrance on Szewska Street, you actually forget you’re staying in what’s technically an apartment building. I mean, this place has serious hotel vibes – there’s a proper reception desk, someone to help with your bags, the whole nine yards. But then you get to your room and realize you’ve got a full kitchen and way more space than any regular hotel would give you.

The location is honestly ridiculous in the best possible way. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Wawel Castle – and I’m not exaggerating here, I timed it. The thing is, most people don’t realize that staying this close to the castle means you’re right in the sweet spot of Old Town without being stuck in the middle of all that Market Square chaos. Szewska Street itself is pretty quiet at night (well, as quiet as central Krakow gets), but step out your door and you’re surrounded by those little side streets where locals actually go for dinner. There’s this tiny pierogi place around the corner on Grodzka that I stumbled into purely by accident – best meal of my trip, honestly.

What really sets this apart from your typical apartment rental is how they’ve thought through the details. The kitchens aren’t just thrown together with random appliances – everything actually works properly, there’s decent cookware if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco Express nearby, and the coffee machine doesn’t make you want to cry. The apartments themselves feel genuinely luxurious without being stuffy about it. High ceilings, original architectural details mixed with modern touches, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the beds are actually comfortable. You’d be amazed how many places in Krakow seem to source their mattresses from medieval torture chambers.

The staff deserve a mention too because they strike that perfect balance between being helpful and not hovering. They know their stuff about the neighborhood (asked them about late-night pharmacy options and got detailed directions immediately), but they’re not constantly asking if you need anything. Parking is sorted if you’re driving – they’ve got a garage situation worked out, though honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re there. Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick tram ride away.

I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t budget accommodation, and during peak season (basically May through September), you’re paying premium prices. But sometimes you want to feel like you’re living in Krakow rather than just passing through it, and that’s exactly what this place delivers. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you factor in the location, the actual luxury part of the name, and the fact that you get apartment perks with hotel service. It’s particularly perfect if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with family – having that extra space and the option to not eat out every single meal is worth a lot.

The apartment was in a great place to visit from. It was huge and plenty of space and beds for myself and my 2 adult daughters. We were very happy, although I hadn't realised on booking (silly me) that there are 89 steps up to this penthouse apartment!

  • Wonderful accommodation in a beautiful town! – Marie from Sweden – April 12, 2025 (10/10)

Really nice apartment! Good location and very quiet even though it was so central. It was easy to check in and out and the staff responded quickly when we needed to get in touch with them. I really recommend this accommodation.

  • Staying in the old town – Tiina from Estonia – January 5, 2025 (8/10)

Great design, great location near the main square

What could be improved: Noise from the street, we were group of 7, but there was not enough comfortable bedding for all of us (suitable for 4-5 people as couch is not enough big to sleep)

  • Fantastic – Samantha from United Kingdom – December 23, 2024 (10/10)

The host was great with communication
Property in fantastic location was great definitely would recommend

  • Perfect location. – Lesley from United Kingdom – November 6, 2024 (8/10)

Central & in walking distance for anything we needed to do in Krakow. A short walk took us to the pick up points to do our tours. The apartment was comfortable, clean & had most things you need. (No toaster or microwave) The roof is low in parts of the apartment, so watch when getting out the beds.
Bars, cafes & restaurants all close to apartment.

What could be improved: The 90 stairs up to the apartment! No lifts so had to carry suitcase up.

  • Very nice place – Lukasz from United Kingdom – August 12, 2024 (10/10)

    Everything

What could be improved: Place is on top floor and there is no lift
