Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Fragola Apartments? The name made me expect some cutesy strawberry-themed place, but honestly, it’s way more sophisticated than that. I mean, sure, there are subtle red accents here and there, but this is proper Old Town accommodation that actually gets what travelers want.
The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – and I say surprising because Old Town properties are usually pretty cramped, right? But these feel like actual homes, not hotel rooms that someone stuck a kitchenette into as an afterthought. The kitchens are legit functional, which is huge if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with kids who have… let’s call them specific eating requirements. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because the local market is just a short walk away, and there’s something really satisfying about making coffee in your own space instead of hunting for a decent café at 7 AM. The Wi-Fi is solid too – I was working remotely for part of my stay and never had those frustrating connection drops that make you want to throw your laptop out the window.
What really sold me on this place, though, was how quiet it manages to be despite being right in the thick of things. Old Town can get pretty lively, especially during peak season, but the apartments are positioned just perfectly – close enough that you can stumble home after dinner without calling a taxi, but tucked away enough that you’re not listening to street performers until midnight (not that there’s anything wrong with street performers, but you know what I mean). The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too. When I asked about getting to the train station, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the main tourist route – he showed me this little shortcut through a side street that probably saved me fifteen minutes. Those are the kinds of details that stick with you. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward hovering around the lobby waiting for your room to be ready. And honestly? For a 4-star place with ratings this high, I was expecting it to be way more expensive than it turned out to be. Sometimes you find these gems that haven’t quite caught on with the big tour groups yet, and you can still get real value without sacrificing comfort.

Apartment inside was very clean and modern and beautfifully decorated with all ammenities you could need. Key code to lock door felt very safe and really enjoyed our experience here. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave bags before our flight home. The check in document sent to us beforehand was extreemly helpful and easy to follow.
