Hampton by Hilton Krakow Overview
You know what surprised me about the Hampton by Hilton Krakow? It actually feels like a neighborhood hotel, even though it’s part of a big chain. I mean, when you’re staying on Dąbska Street in Grzegórzki, you’re not exactly in the postcard part of town – but honestly, that’s kind of the point. You get this authentic slice of how Krakovians actually live, without the tourist markup.
The building itself has this clean, modern vibe that doesn’t try too hard to be Polish – which I appreciated after staying in places that go overboard with the medieval theme. Check-in was smooth (they speak solid English here), and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet my room was considering you’re just a tram ride from the Old Town. The beds are proper Hilton standard – firm but comfortable – and there’s actually decent space to spread out your stuff, which isn’t always a given in European hotels. What really won me over was the breakfast situation. It’s not just continental pastries and sad coffee; they do a proper spread with scrambled eggs, local meats and cheeses, plus this surprisingly good coffee that kept me going through long days of sightseeing. The staff seemed genuinely helpful too – not just going through the motions.
Location-wise, here’s the thing most people don’t realize: Grzegórzki is perfectly positioned if you want to explore beyond the tourist bubble. You’ve got the Galeria Kazimierz shopping center within walking distance (handy for grabbing supplies or escaping rain), and the tram connections are fantastic – line 3 gets you to the main square in about fifteen minutes. I actually preferred this to being right in the thick of things because you can retreat to a calmer area at night, but still hit up Kazimierz or Wawel Castle easily during the day. The neighborhood has some solid local restaurants too, though you’ll want to venture out since the hotel doesn’t do dinner. Parking was straightforward – they have their own garage, which saves you from the stress of finding street spots in the city center. With an 8.9 rating, this place clearly gets the basics right, and for a 3-star property, it punches above its weight. It’s the kind of spot where you’re not paying for location bragging rights, but you’re getting solid comfort and service that lets you focus on actually enjoying Krakow.
Early hotels booking in Krakow requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to see the city’s UNESCO-listed medieval center and royal landmarks.

Exceptional – Monika from Romania – August 13, 2025 (10/10)
Excelent location, within walking distance to Tauron Arena, five minutes walk to the Dabie tram station from where you can easily reach the city center.
Usual hilton standard: clean, quiet rooms, comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, iron and hairdryer in room, tasty and various breskfast.
Paid parking (either the hotel's own parking, or the private parking at the back of the hotel, both at the same price, the latter must be paid in advance/when parking).

What could be improved: “When booking hotels, all facilities are usually free, but I did not find this service during my stay with you. I had to pay for parking and the swimming pool. This is the first time I encounter such treatment at a hotel — even when I requested shaving tools or a toothbrush, they asked to pay for them.”Convenient location, clean and tidy rooms, excellent breakfast – Alex from Ireland – July 28, 2025 (9/10)
room was spacious and very clean, all facilities available that you would expect in a hotel. Breakfast very really good with variety of food available.

We were there for a concert, which was great- only a 10min walk to the arena. Not super close to the town center, however, easy accessible by uber.
