Hotel Kazimierz III Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first spotted Hotel Kazimierz III tucked away on Podbrzezie street, I almost walked right past it. The entrance is sort of understated in that quietly confident European way, nothing flashy screaming “tourist hotel here!” But that’s actually what I ended up loving about it. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the main square (I timed it, because I’m weird like that), but you feel like you’ve discovered this little secret that the cruise ship crowds haven’t figured out yet. The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Polish character – thick walls that actually keep street noise out, which honestly surprised me given how close you are to everything.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know Krakow, not just the obvious tourist spots everyone hits. The guy at reception – I think his name was Tomasz – casually mentioned this tiny milk bar around the corner on Grodzka that serves pierogi that’ll ruin you for anywhere else (he was right, by the way). The rooms aren’t trying to be Instagram-perfect or anything, but they’re properly comfortable with decent WiFi and those European windows that actually open, which I always appreciate. You know what’s nice? The bathroom tiles are heated, which sounds like a small thing until you’re stepping out of the shower on a chilly October morning. I mean, it’s a three-star place, so don’t expect marble countertops, but everything works and feels clean without that over-sanitized chain hotel vibe.
The location thing is tricky to explain without sounding like a brochure, but here’s the deal – you can stumble home from the jazz clubs on Florianska street in about three minutes, but when you wake up, you’re not dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of things. There’s this little courtyard area where you can actually have your morning coffee without dodging selfie sticks. Plus, if you’re one of those people who needs to escape tourist central for a bit (and let’s face it, Old Town can get overwhelming), you’re close enough to Kazimierz district to pop over for dinner without it being a whole production. Parking’s a bit of a dance if you’re driving – I’d honestly just use the public transport or walk everywhere, but they can sort something out if you ask nicely. The breakfast is… well, it’s fine, nothing that’ll change your life but definitely gets the job done with proper coffee and enough variety to keep you happy. Overall, it’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sanitized tourist bubble, which in a city like Krakow, is exactly what you want.

Great stay in Krakow – Ana from Serbia – July 18, 2025 (9/10)
Location is great. It is very clean, there is a water machine in the hall. Breakfast is excellent, last day we were leaving early to the airport so they provide us with the lunch box (sandwiches, fruit, sweets and water). Supermarkets are very near as well as the city center. Railway station is 10 minutes from the hotel and you can ise it go to main reilway or bus station or to the airport. Staff was very polite. We even had flower pots on the window.
