Hotel Lavender Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Lavender? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard, and honestly, that works in its favor. I mean, sure, it’s a three-star property, but whoever’s running this place actually gets what travelers want – and that 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there.
The moment you walk in, there’s this subtle lavender scent (obviously) that isn’t overpowering like some hotels that go crazy with their signature smells. The lobby has this lived-in comfort that feels more like a well-appointed friend’s house than a sterile hotel chain. Check-in was refreshingly smooth – I think I was in my room within five minutes, which never happens anymore. The staff actually remembers your name after the first interaction, which is sort of rare these days. My room had these thick curtains that blocked out street noise completely (trust me, I’m a light sleeper), and the bed was one of those firm-but-not-too-firm situations that had me sleeping better than I do at home.
What really sold me on the place were all those little details that show someone’s paying attention. The bathroom had decent water pressure – not amazing, but solid – and they stock actual good toiletries, not the watered-down stuff you usually get. There’s a coffee setup in the room that’s actually worth using, and the mini-fridge is properly cold. The housekeeping team does this thing where they leave a different colored towel folded into a simple shape each day, nothing fancy, just… thoughtful. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the hallways stayed quiet, and I never felt like I was dealing with chaos at the front desk or restaurant. Speaking of which, their breakfast isn’t elaborate, but they nail the basics – fresh pastries, decent coffee, and they’ll make you eggs however you want them. The whole operation just feels like it’s run by people who’ve actually stayed in hotels themselves and know what’s annoying versus what actually matters. It’s not trying to be boutique-fancy or business-traveler-efficient – it just does the fundamentals really well, which is honestly refreshing.

Reviews of Hotel Lavender
Monika from Slovakia (9/10)
The hotel is really close to the main city center, it is really nice and cozy with great breakfast. I really enjoyed the stay here.
Katie from Ireland (9/10)
The location is very close to the old town and all tour trip pick-ups, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and the property is very clean. Our late cab ride to the airport, which can be rather stressful and concerning in a new place, was expertly arranged by the hotel personnel. We enjoyed peace while on our excursion, which was planned for us. Without a doubt, we will return to Krakow and the Hotel Lavender, and we will tell all of our friends and relatives about it.

Richard from United Kingdom (9/10)
Very clean and modern. A reasonable location – not far from a couple of good restaurants, and a ten min walk from the old town. A small bar and cafe. Good value for money.

Fiona from United Kingdom (9/10)
Everything! From first setting foot in it we were impressed with the decor. Our twin room was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, very roomy, fridge and a fantastic shower. Lift or stairs access. Staff were so helpful and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble, even delivering me milk at bedtime as there were no sachets. Check in/out experience was smooth. Apart from a great choice for breakfast we were too busy doing tours to eat at dinner time in the hotel. I would definitely stay there again. 10/10.
