Hotel Miodowa Overview
You know what struck me first about Hotel Miodowa? It’s tucked right into this gorgeous stretch of Old Town where the morning light hits those medieval buildings just right, and you’re literally a three-minute walk from the main square without being stuck in the thick of all that tourist chaos. I mean, Miodowa Street itself is one of those cobblestone beauties that feels properly historic – not the sanitized Disney version of old Europe, but actually old, with worn stones and that slightly musty smell of centuries-old buildings that somehow feels comforting rather than off-putting.
The hotel itself is honestly better than you’d expect from a 3-star place. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Old Town Krakow, after all – thick walls and small spaces come with the territory), but they’ve done something smart with the space and the beds are actually comfortable. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, which is sort of miraculous considering you’re surrounded by restaurants and bars. The windows do their job, and the courtyard-facing rooms are particularly peaceful. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood – I asked about where to grab coffee early in the morning and got directed to this tiny place on Floriańska that locals actually use, not some tourist trap. Check-in was smooth, no drama, and they had decent suggestions for dinner spots that weren’t the obvious choices everyone recommends.
Here’s the thing that makes Hotel Miodowa work so well – location without the premium location price tag. You’re close enough to walk to Wawel Castle in about ten minutes, the Jewish Quarter is an easy stroll across the river, and honestly, being on Miodowa puts you right in the path of locals heading to work or school, which gives you this nice sense of being part of the actual city rather than just passing through it. The breakfast is solid (nothing fancy, but fresh bread and good coffee), and there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be more than it is. It’s clean, comfortable, well-located, and the kind of spot where you sleep well and wake up excited to explore rather than wanting to hang around the hotel all day. That 8.8 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, but it nails everything a good city hotel should do.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Krakow through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s medieval charm and cultural heritage.

Reviews of Hotel Miodowa
Great spaceful rooms with nice kitchenette and good breakfast – Edyta from United Kingdom – August 9, 2025 (9/10)
Lots of space in the apartment, eye-catching wall decorations, nice spaceful bathroom and kitchen, with coffee, teas, cups, cutlery, and a seat by the door where you can put on your shoes and clothes hungers. Also, the breakfast was quite good, with nice coffees, teas, scrambled eggs, salads, pickles, yoghurts. Also, very helpful receptionists.

What could be improved: nothingThank you Krakow and its people, thank you Hotel Miodowa and its staff – Vernon from United Kingdom – July 24, 2025 (9/10)
After my online booking and prior to my visit, I was contacted a number of times by email with helpful and informative messages. My stay got off to a perfect start due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. This continued throughout my stay and in particular, Klaudia was extremely helpful with any questions, suggestions or travel arrangements I might require.
As a solo traveller, my room perfectly suited my requirements. I was on the first floor; had a very comfortable bed; air conditioning was ideal during this hot period; had a quality shower room and adequate wardrobe/shelf space.
I enjoyed the breakfasts as they contained enough of a range for my tastes. I also appreciated the dining area room break up as it didn't feel like a cafeteria.
The siting of the hotel was great for my needs, as the main areas of sightseeing were within walking distance. For the historically minded, the Jewish quarter is a handful of minutes away by foot, Schindler's museum is a 20 minute walk. I can recommend a 10 minute walk to the Vistula River and a long walk along the river bank (Podgorska and Rybaki). There are plenty of public benches along the route and if you feel up to it, you can walk all the way around to Wawel Castle; the cathedral and the many wonders that the Old Town has to offer.
There is a useful mini shop opposite the hotel and a slightly larger food/drink shop 30 yards further. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.
There is a spacious, locked luggage room available for leaving luggage until pickup later in the day.
As I planned my excursions by foot, I can also understand why people may want to stay closer to the Main square . So the visitor needs to decide what their priorities are when visiting Krakow. Remember that visits to Auschwitz/Birkenau and the Wieliczka Salt mine are excursions and do not need to be taken into account for hotel locality. That's why Hotel Miodowa is suitably placed for the visitor to Krakow.
What could be improved: There is nothing to include in this section.
