You know what really struck me about Hotel Unicus when I first walked in? The way they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with that authentic Krakow character without making it feel forced. It’s tucked right in the Old Town – and I mean properly in the heart of it, not one of those places that claims to be “near” the action but leaves you hiking for twenty minutes to get anywhere good.

The rooms actually feel designed by someone who travels themselves. The beds are properly firm (thank god), and there’s enough space to open your suitcase without playing furniture Tetris. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing – honestly, you’d never know you’re steps away from all those late-night revelries on the cobblestone streets. The staff seem to genuinely know their stuff about the city too, not just the rehearsed tourist spots. When I asked about finding some decent pierogi away from the main square crowds, the front desk guy immediately knew exactly what I meant and pointed me toward this little place on Szeroka that locals actually go to.

The location is sort of ridiculously perfect if you’re here to explore properly. You can stumble out the front door and be at the Cloth Hall in maybe three minutes, but you’re positioned just far enough from the absolute chaos of the main tourist drags that you can actually get some sleep. I loved that I could walk to everything – the castle, the Jewish quarter, even those cute little streets behind St. Mary’s where the real character of the city shows through. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town Krakow, so forget about street parking, but they’ve got arrangements that actually work. The 8.9 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s one of those places that just handles the basics really well without trying to oversell you on amenities you don’t need. The breakfast was solid European spread stuff, nothing revolutionary but proper coffee and fresh bread, which is really all you want before heading out to explore. I mean, you’re in Krakow – you want to be out there eating oscypek and wandering through Planty Park, not hanging around the hotel anyway.

  Everything about this hotel was great. Location is fantastic. Room is big, nice and clean. Beds are so comfortable.Staff is group of young and wonderful people. I felt like home and when I come back to Krakow this beatiful hotel will be my choice for sure.

  Very convenient location, as the hotel is close to the old town, shops and restaurants. The room is big, comfortable and with zero noise even though the lift in front of our door. The bathroom was clean and bath ropes were provided!
  
  Since the restaurant is in renovation, we got a breakfast upgrade by having it on another hotel around the corner (Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town). Service and food were brilliant!

  The hotel was situated in the middle of the old town – perfect location to everything. Our room was stunning and huge! We had a wonderful view from our window. absolutely loved the heated flooring in the bathroom. It was clean and spacious.

  Hotel was in such a fantastic location. It was spot on. Upon arrival we were a little early, the staff were super helpful and offered somewhere to store our luggage, they also upgraded our room ! ( thank you).
  
  Beds were comfy ! Room size was fab, our heating didn’t work the first few hours and the staff were amazing and so helpful, it got fixed and they offered free breakfast. They couldn’t of been more helpful they are a credit to the hotel
