Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you walk into apartment 31, there’s this unobstructed view of Wawel Castle that actually made me stop mid-conversation. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of places that promise “castle views,” but this is the real deal – you’re looking right at the royal residence like you’re part of some medieval court.

The location on Dietla Street is honestly perfect if you know Kraków at all. You’re technically in Old Town but just far enough from the main tourist chaos around the Market Square that you can actually sleep at night. I could walk to Wawel Hill in maybe three minutes, hit up the Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz in about ten, and when I needed groceries or just wanted to feel like a local, the Galeria Kazimierz shopping center was right there. The building itself has that classic Kraków character – you know, the kind of place that’s been around forever but someone clearly put thought into renovating it properly. The apartment felt genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciated. Actually, the kitchen was way better equipped than I expected for a short-term rental, and I ended up cooking a few meals just because I could grab fresh ingredients from the little market on Stradomska Street nearby.

What really sealed it for me was the practical stuff that travel websites never mention. Check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around with your luggage situation. The WiFi actually worked well enough for video calls (I had to take a few work meetings), and honestly, the whole place just felt quiet and secure. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, so I can’t speak to summer crowds, but the noise level was perfect. You get the gentle sounds of the city without feeling like you’re sleeping on a busy street. The 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be some luxury hotel experience, but everything works exactly as it should. For the money, especially considering you’re basically living next door to one of Europe’s most impressive castles, it’s kind of a no-brainer if you want to experience Kraków like you actually live there rather than just passing through.

Hotel in Krakow booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural festivals and medieval celebrations.

  • Fabulously clean and tasteful apartment, excellently located for all the sights. – Amanda from United Kingdom – October 30, 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was excellent.15 minute pleasant stroll into the centre of the Old Town and right next to the Jewish Quarter. Accessed through a lovely traditional facade the apartment is on the 3rd floor(accessible with a lift) with a lovely view of the Castle. The apartment was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with everything we needed including washing machine, iron, hairdryer, towels and all kitchen utensils etc. The beds were very comfortable. The 3 beds were a good find as a lot of apartments are double/twins.

What could be improved: We loved everything and couldn’t find any fault.
