Krakow B&B – Old Town Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Krakow B&B – Old Town, you immediately know you’ve found something special. This three-star bed and breakfast sits right in the heart of Krakow’s Old Town on a quiet side street that feels authentically Polish. The building itself has that classic Krakow charm, and the location alone makes this place worth considering for travelers seeking an authentic experience.
The Heart of Old Town
Here’s what I love about staying here — you can roll out of bed and be at the Main Market Square in about three minutes on foot. The Royal Castle? Maybe five minutes if you walk slowly. But what’s even better is that ul. Librowszczyzna feels like a local street, so you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups right outside your window. Couples especially seem to get this location, because there’s something romantic about wandering these cobblestone streets together in the evening hours.
You can actually walk to those late-night pierogi spots that locals frequent without needing to figure out trams or taxis. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of authentic Krakow living. Historic cafes and traditional Polish restaurants line the nearby streets, offering everything from hearty traditional meals to lighter contemporary fare that showcases local ingredients.
The Room Experience
The accommodations here strike that sweet spot between comfortable and unpretentious. You’re not getting five-star amenities, but everything feels clean and well-maintained — which is exactly what you want from a good B&B. The rooms have that cozy European feel without being cramped, and the windows let in plenty of natural light during those long summer days. Each space features thoughtful touches that reflect the building’s historic character while providing modern comfort.
What I particularly appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, despite being so central. The thick walls of these old buildings actually work in your favor here. Climate control keeps things comfortable year-round, and the traditional Polish furnishings add authentic charm to your stay.
Continental Breakfast
The continental breakfast is solid — nothing fancy, but it gets the job done before you head out exploring. Fresh bread, local cheeses, some cold cuts, and decent coffee fuel your morning adventures. It’s served in a pleasant common area where you might chat with other travelers. The selection changes slightly based on seasonal availability, featuring local specialties that give you a taste of regional flavors.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest place in Krakow, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need — a comfortable base in an unbeatable location. That 9.2 location score reflects the reality of being able to explore Wawel Castle, St. Mary’s Basilica, and the Cloth Hall without any transportation hassles. The staff understands what visitors want to see and do, and they’re helpful without being overbearing about recommendations.
For the price point, you’re getting authentic Old Town access without paying premium hotel rates, which leaves more money in your pocket for experiencing everything this amazing city has to offer. The combination of central location, reasonable rates, and genuine Polish hospitality makes this B&B a smart choice for budget-conscious travelers who don’t want to compromise on location.

Great location. Our host was fantastic and very friendly. Has a fridge to keep drinks and food cold. Has a hob to cook with pans, plates, cups and cutlery. Bit of a modern look.
