Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The light – and I mean that literally. The name says “Sunny Apartment” and they weren’t kidding around. Those big windows in the Lwowska 10 building just drink up the morning sun, which is honestly a godsend when you’re dealing with Krakow’s sometimes moody weather. I stayed here last spring and woke up to these gorgeous golden rays streaming across the hardwood floors. It’s the kind of thing that makes you want to linger over coffee instead of rushing out to see Wawel Castle.
The location in Podgórze is actually brilliant – most tourists stick to the Old Town and miss this whole side of the river. But here’s the thing: you’re literally a 15-minute walk to the main square, and it’s such a pleasant stroll along the Vistula. Plus you get to feel a bit more like a local, you know? The building itself sits on this quiet stretch of Lwowska where you’ll hear church bells in the morning instead of tour groups (though honestly, come July and August, nowhere in Krakow is completely tourist-free). There’s a little bakery two blocks down that does these incredible zapiekanka – I probably ate there four times in five days. The apartment itself feels properly lived-in without being worn down, if that makes sense. Everything works – the shower has actual water pressure, the kitchen has decent knives, there’s enough electrical outlets. I mean, these sound like small things until you’ve stayed in places where nothing quite functions right. The 9.6 rating makes total sense when you consider that the host clearly sweats the details. They even left a bottle of local wine and some tourist maps marked up with their personal recommendations, which I thought was a nice touch without being over the top.
Honestly, what sold me on this place was how it balanced everything I wanted – close enough to walk everywhere that mattered, quiet enough to actually sleep well, and bright enough that I didn’t feel like I was hiding in some dark European cave. The Podgórze neighborhood has this relaxed vibe during the day, then comes alive in the evenings when locals hit the restaurants and bars. You’ll find yourself people-watching from those sunny windows, maybe with a beer from the corner shop, feeling pretty good about your travel choices. If you’re the type who needs to be right in the thick of tourist central, this might feel too removed – but if you want to experience Krakow like someone who actually lives there while still being close to all the must-see stuff, this sunny little spot hits the sweet spot perfectly.

Exceptional – Dmytro from Ukraine – July 21, 2025 (10/10)
The location is very convenient – in a quite neighborhood in a walking distance from Kazimierz and a plenty of transport options to the Old Town. The apartment itself is very cozy, with a really nice and interesting design, which we really liked – one of the best actually comparing to our previous stays in Krakow. There is also a nice underground parking with an access via car elevator.
