Evenings are where it gets interesting because you’re close enough to duck into places like Pod Wawelem for dinner (that little spot on Podzamcze that doesn’t scream “tourist trap”), but far enough from Floriańska Street that you’re not dealing with the late-night party noise. Though fair warning – if you’re here during summer weekends, you’ll definitely hear some revelry echoing off the buildings. It’s not terrible, just… authentic city sounds, you know?

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no dramatic key ceremony, just practical info about trash pickup and the nearest 24-hour pharmacy. The woman who showed me around pointed out which tram stops to use for day trips to Wieliczka (seriously helpful since the tourist office usually just pushes the expensive tours), and mentioned that the building’s courtyard stays cooler in summer if you need to escape the heat. Small details, but they matter when you’re actually living somewhere for more than just a night or two.

  The apartment was exactly what we needed for our long weekend. The size of the room and bathroom was big, it had wooden beams which added to the room’s character, it had a balcony, and It was central / close to the main square. We chose a room that faced the inner courtyard so it will be quiet at night. The apartment is 10 -15 minutes walk to Warsaw Castle and the Jewish Quarter, has lots of cafes and restaurants at our doorstep to choose from, and many churches and museums to visit. We were at the third floor which is reachable by a spiral wooden staircase (again with character) and fine for us as we only had light hand carry luggage to bring up. We didn’t use the kitchen during our stay so will not comment about this. Overall, we found the apartment to be comfortable and if we come back, will be happy to stay there again.
