Królewska Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Królewska Apartments, you’ll find yourself in one of those charming Krakow neighborhoods that feels authentically Polish without being touristy. The building sits quietly on Józefitów street in Krowodrza — honestly, I had to ask for directions the first time, but that’s part of its appeal. This three-star property doesn’t try to be flashy, and that’s exactly what works about it. The entrance is understated, almost residential, which makes sense since you’re essentially staying in a proper apartment rather than a traditional hotel room.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re close enough to Old Town to walk there (about 15 minutes), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds of tourists stumbling back from the bars at 2 AM. Krowodrza has this lived-in feel where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning and kids playing in small courtyards. There’s a decent grocery store just around the corner, which actually matters when you have a proper kitchen. The location score of 8.8 makes total sense, especially for couples who want that sweet spot between accessibility and authenticity.
The Apartment Experience
What sets Królewska Apartments apart is that you’re getting actual apartment living, not just a hotel room with a mini-fridge. I mean, there’s a full kitchen where you can cook real meals — something I ended up doing more than expected because the local markets are so tempting. The space feels like someone’s actual home, which can be either charming or slightly odd depending on your preferences. The furnishings are comfortable without being particularly stylish, but everything works properly. You know what’s nice? Having a living area where you can spread out in the evening instead of sitting on the bed with your laptop.
Practical Considerations
The 8.4 rating reflects what you’d expect from a solid three-star place — everything functions well without any particular frills. Hot water pressure is good, WiFi works reliably, and the heating keeps things comfortable during Krakow’s chilly months. Since it’s apartment-style, don’t expect daily housekeeping or a front desk that’s staffed 24/7, but honestly, that independence can be refreshing. The check-in process is straightforward, though you’ll want to coordinate arrival times in advance. Storage space is actually generous — rare for European accommodations.
Why Guests Love It
Couples particularly appreciate this place (they rate the location 9.3 for two-person trips), and I can see why. There’s something romantic about having your own little Polish apartment, cooking breakfast together, then wandering out to explore the city. You’re in a top-rated area of Krakow without paying Old Town prices, and the neighborhood gives you a genuine sense of what living here might actually feel like. It’s not about upscale or impressive amenities — it’s about having a comfortable, authentic base that feels more like a temporary home than a hotel stay.

Reviews of Królewska Apartments
Tim from Poland (9/10)
This is a great location and a value for money option but it is very basic with the minimum of furniture and harsh hospital style lighting although the bathroom was modern. The hosts were super helpful and checkin via a door code also meant we could be flexible with our arrival time. As a place to lay your head it's excellent and just a 15 min walk to the old town. But if you needed to spend more time in the apartment its not that comfortable a stay.
Valentina from Bulgaria (7/10)
We checked in earlier than the stated time and that was very convenient. The location of the apartment is really convenient and close to the center. There is a bus stop and shops nearby. The price is very good.
Jane from Finland (9/10)
Really nice and cosy appartment with everything you need. Cute little balcony, the building and its surroundings were beautiful and clean.
Malgorzata from United Kingdom (8/10)
The property was in an excellent location and was clean and had everything that we needed. We couldn’t open the main door, however a phone call quickly sorted that out, I had misunderstood the instructions.
