First Impressions

Walking up to Hotel Królewska, you immediately get that “this is going to be good” feeling. The four-star property sits right on Królewska Street — and honestly, the location alone makes this place worth considering. I mean, you’re practically in the heart of Krakow’s Old Town, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy or overwhelming. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the historic neighborhood around it.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying at Królewska — you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Krakow. The Main Market Square is just a few minutes on foot, which means you’re close enough to pop back for a quick rest between sightseeing but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds right outside your window. Wawel Castle? Easy walk. The Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz? About fifteen minutes if you take your time.

You know what’s really great though? There are actual grocery stores and cafes nearby that locals use, not just tourist traps.

The Rooms

The rooms at Hotel Królewska strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and respecting the building’s character. Mine had these lovely high ceilings and windows that actually opened (you’d be surprised how rare that is). The bathroom was completely updated — good water pressure, heated floors, all the things you want after a long day of walking on cobblestones. What really impressed me was the attention to soundproofing; even though you’re on a busy street, it’s surprisingly quiet at night.

Service & Amenities

The staff here genuinely knows Krakow, which makes such a difference when you need restaurant recommendations or want to know the best time to visit certain attractions. They’re not just reciting from a script — these are people who actually live in the city. The breakfast spread is solid without being overwhelming, and there’s a small fitness area if you need to work off all those pierogi. I also appreciated that they have a proper business center, since hotel wifi can be hit or miss even in nice places like this.

Why Guests Love It

After staying at Królewska, I totally understand why couples rate the location so highly — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll through Old Town in the evening and then retreat to a comfortable, well-appointed room. The hotel manages to feel both central and peaceful, which is honestly pretty rare in a city center location. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Krakow, not just passing through it. Plus, at this price point for a four-star property in such a prime location, you’re getting excellent value for what you pay.

  Great location, easy to commute with tram or by walk, very tidy apartment, we were amazed about such a price-quality ratio. Communication with the owners was also super easy and they were very flexible.
