Liv Apartments Old Town Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Liv Apartments Old Town on Katarzyny Street, you immediately know you’ve landed somewhere special. The building sits right in the thick of Kraków’s medieval heart — I mean, you’re literally surrounded by centuries-old architecture and cobblestone streets that have seen more history than most cities combined. It’s a three-star property, but honestly, the location alone makes it feel like you’re getting away with something. The entrance has that understated Polish elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which I actually prefer to flashier places.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying in Kraków’s Old Town — most places either cost a fortune or stick you somewhere touristy and soulless. Liv Apartments Old Town manages to avoid both traps. You’re a two-minute walk from the Main Market Square (seriously, I timed it), but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant crowds outside your window. Couples absolutely love this spot — they’ve rated the location 9.3 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get why. You can stumble back from dinner at any of the incredible restaurants nearby, or grab morning coffee and pastries without having to trek across the city.
The Apartment Experience
The apartments themselves strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and respecting the historic setting. You know what I appreciated most? The kitchenettes actually work — not those sad hotel attempts with a mini-fridge and broken microwave. If you want to grab fresh bread from one of the local bakeries or pick up some Polish specialties from the market, you can actually prepare a proper meal. The spaces feel more like temporary homes than hotel rooms, which makes longer stays (or even just a few nights) way more comfortable than your typical cramped hotel setup.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast situation here is surprisingly thoughtful. They offer continental options alongside vegetarian and vegan choices — not just an afterthought salad, but actual variety that works for different dietary needs. What’s clever is the breakfast-to-go option, because let’s be honest, sometimes you want to grab something quick and explore rather than sit in a dining room. Being in the Old Town means you’re also surrounded by some of Poland’s best restaurants and cafes, so you’re never stuck for dining options. The local milk bars (bar mleczny) nearby serve incredible traditional Polish food for practically nothing.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest place in Kraków, but it nails what actually matters when you’re exploring a city like this. The location score of 9.3 isn’t just a number — it reflects how rare it is to find somewhere this well-positioned that doesn’t break the bank. You’re close enough to everything that matters (Wawel Castle, St. Mary’s Basilica, the Cloth Hall), but you’re staying in a real neighborhood where locals actually live and work. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing authentic Kraków rather than just checking tourist boxes from a hotel room somewhere on the outskirts.

Great location, in a quieter area of Kazimierz near cool boutique shops and bars, and close to the Jewish historical museums and monuments.

Location. The unit itself is tiny, you will have your own room and a bathroom, but it's a shared type of hallway with other units within one apartment. You will hear people staying next door. Clean.

Great location in walking distance to Wawel Castle, Main Square or the hart of Kazimierz. Many good taste restaurants all over the place. The property was very clean and comfy.

Good location, cozy and comfortable place every thing what you need for 1-7 nights you can find at the property. Private clean and beautiful bathroom. Big window, refrigerator, hairdryer, two towels for person. Welcome tea and coffee, comfortable bed. Tram station near. Fast walk to the Wawel Castle 10 minutes. Many restaurants and shops near. Good outside isolation.

The locatioon was great. The room was clean. I would not choose the classic breakfest. Next time I will try the croissants. I loved the view from our window.

Location, fridge.
Evelina from Italy (8/10)
Location was perfect, the room is small but tidy and pretty comfortable. The only thing, if you need to work there's no desk. But just for a leisure/turistic stay is more than perfect.
