So I’ve stayed at Lounge Apartments a handful of times now, and honestly, the name’s a bit misleading – you’re not getting some flashy hotel lounge vibe here. What you are getting is something way better: actual livable space right in the heart of Old Town that doesn’t feel like a tourist trap. The building sits on Krowoderska, which is this perfectly positioned street that locals actually use to cut through the area. You know what I mean? It’s not one of those dead-end hotel streets where you feel isolated from real Krakow life.

The apartments themselves are solid – I mean, we’re talking 4-star level but with that slightly worn-in Eastern European charm that I’ve honestly grown to love. The kitchenettes actually work (novel concept, right?), and there’s enough counter space to spread out your farmers market finds from Stary Kleparz, which is literally a five-minute walk away. The Wi-Fi’s reliable, the heating works well during those brutal Krakow winters, and the windows are thick enough that you won’t hear every tram clanging by at 6 AM. Though honestly, after a day or two you sort of stop noticing the city sounds anyway – it becomes this comforting urban soundtrack.

Location-wise, this is where Lounge Apartments really shines, and I don’t just mean because it’s Old Town. Sure, you’re close to all the obvious stuff – Main Square is maybe eight minutes on foot, Wawel Castle’s a pleasant stroll – but what I actually appreciate is how you’re positioned near the university district. There’s this whole different energy here with actual students and locals mixed in with tourists. You’ll find yourself grabbing coffee at places like Kofi or Café Camelot instead of whatever overpriced spot is right on the Rynek. Plus, parking’s not completely impossible if you’re driving, which honestly shocked me the first time. The 7.9 rating makes sense – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers exactly what you need without any major disappointments. I keep coming back because it feels less like staying in a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s place who happens to live in one of the best neighborhoods in the city.

  Very spacious property for a family of 5 which was in a great location just outside the planty. Great location for shops, bakeries and a great local market which was also close to the train and bus stations and a short walk into the centre of krakow.

  We arrived early, and it was no issue to leave our bags and return later when room was ready. Kitchen facilities in room were adequate. Comfortable clean room. Room looked onto a restaurant courtyard which closed by 10-11pm and was not noisy. Apartment was a short level walk to Old Town Krakow. We ended up extending our stay by an extra day which was no problem.
  
  What could be improved: Access to room was up 2 flights steps with no lift access. Staff willing to assist with bags if required.

  Everything was great. Lounge Apartments are well located, there are many shops nearby where you can take a snack home, there are cafes and the old town.
  
  What could be improved: The only pity is that there is no parking at the apartment. But there is a paid parking nearby, just a few steps away.

  The location is perfect, the apartment was nice and quiet.
  
  What could be improved: The room has limited natural light and no A/C. Also the TV was positioned in a manner that you could not see.

  Lots of room for 6 of us in the apartment. Clean. Very close to the old town, great location. Didn't see the owner for the few days we were there, everything went smooth. Great facilities like kitchen and fans.
  
  What could be improved: Little things like the bedroom door was a bit loose, the fan in one bedroom couldn't be raised as it was broken, but the fan itself was working and a lifesaver. The drain in the shower was blocked but it was nothing that affected our stay.

  Room was clean and tidy. Very spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Bed was very comfortable, location was great very easy to get access to buses and trains. Hosts were friendly too!
  
  What could be improved: No lift, so be wary if you have issues carrying luggage up the stairs and no option to store luggage past 3pm. Not a huge issue as there are paid storage places close by but it adds a small complexity factor if check out is at 11am and you are staying around until later in the evening. Both of these factors would not impact my decision that I would stay again but thought it was worth a mention.
