Hotel Description
You know what really caught me off guard about Metropolis Apartments? It’s tucked away on Krowoderska Street in this perfectly quiet corner of Old Town, but you’re literally a five-minute walk from the main market square chaos. I mean, when you’re dealing with Krakow’s Old Town, that’s kind of a miracle – most places are either right in the tourist madness or way too far out to matter.
The building itself has this understated thing going on. Not flashy, not trying too hard, just solid. The apartments are honestly bigger than I expected for a 3-star place (and definitely bigger than most hotel rooms you’ll find in this area). What I really appreciated was the kitchenette situation – actually functional, not just for show. You can grab fresh stuff from the little markets along Krowoderska or hit up the bigger Biedronka that’s maybe two blocks away. The wifi was solid too, which… look, I work remotely sometimes and I’ve been burned by places that promise good internet. This delivered.
Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really tell you – you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the worst of the tourist crowds but you can still hear the city. Not traffic noise exactly, more like… life happening. Church bells from St. Mary’s drift over in the morning, you catch bits of conversation from people walking to work. It feels authentically Krakow without being overwhelming. Parking can be tricky (honestly, anywhere in Old Town is going to be tricky), but there’s a paid lot about three streets over that most locals use. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not luxury, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well enough to give decent restaurant recommendations. I ended up at this little pierogi spot they mentioned that I never would’ve found otherwise. Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try to be everything to everyone, they just nail what they’re actually supposed to do.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and really pretty. The bed was comfortable and I slept super well during my stay. Everything was well organised with check in and check out was extremely quick and efficient. It was a 10 min walk from the main square making it easily accessible to tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. I would recommend these holiday apartments to anyone travelling to Krakow.

I often travel to Kraków for work, and every time I stay in this apartment – it’s become my go-to place. I’ve stayed in both a one-bedroom and a studio, and I honestly love it here. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the city center and the main train station.
The apartment is modern, stylish, and feels brand new. It’s fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay – from kitchen essentials to proper heating and cozy touches. The blackout curtains are also a big plus for a restful sleep.
Personally, I found everything I needed here, and I’ll definitely be staying again in the future. Highly recommend!Perfect location for a weekend or few days away in Krakow, just a short walk from the Old Town and the facilities were v – Adam from United Kingdom – June 19, 2025 (8/10)
Very clean and well looked after, smaller space makes for a cosy atmosphere and the bathroom is helpfully spacious.
What could be improved: Entry on arrival was a little confusing but we figured it out in the end. Unfortunately our air conditioning wasn’t working and it was a very hot few days.
