Novum Studio – LoftAffair Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Novum Studio – LoftAffair when I first booked it. The name sounds a bit pretentious, doesn’t it? But you know what, sometimes places surprise you in the best way possible. This isn’t your typical cookie-cutter hotel – it’s actually got character, which seems harder and harder to find these days.
The moment you walk in, you get why they call it “LoftAffair.” The whole place has this industrial-chic thing going on that doesn’t feel forced or Instagram-manufactured. I mean, the exposed brick and high ceilings are real, not some designer’s idea of what urban cool should look like. My studio had these massive windows that let in incredible natural light – something you don’t always get with three-star places. The space felt bigger than it probably was because of those soaring ceilings, and honestly, the bed was way more comfortable than I expected. Sometimes you roll the dice with smaller properties, but they clearly invested in decent mattresses here.
What really won me over was how thoughtfully everything was put together. The kitchenette wasn’t just for show – it had actual cookware you could use, not those flimsy hotel pans that make you question your life choices. There’s something refreshing about a place that assumes you might want to grab groceries and make breakfast instead of paying hotel restaurant prices every morning. The staff genuinely seemed to care too, which you can usually sense within the first five minutes of checking in. They knew the neighborhood well and gave me solid recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots.
The 9.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort or compete with the big chain hotels – it knows exactly what it is and executes that vision really well. Sure, you might hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper (it’s a loft-style space in what feels like a pretty lively area), but that’s part of the urban experience. I actually found it kind of charming after a day or two. The whole place has this authentic, lived-in vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying in a friend’s really cool apartment rather than just another hotel room. For the price point, you’re getting way more personality and comfort than you’d find at most three-star places, and sometimes that’s exactly what a trip needs.
Apartments in Krakow provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Polish markets and cook with regional Galician specialties.
