Old Time Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Old Time Apartments on Stefana Batorego street, you immediately understand why this place has such a stellar reputation. I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Kraków magical — the Main Market Square is practically around the corner, and you can hear the trumpeter from St. Mary’s Basilica if you listen carefully. This three-star property doesn’t try to be fancy, but honestly, it nails exactly what you want when exploring the Old Town.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about staying here — you can stumble back from Cloth Hall after buying way too many amber jewelry pieces, and you’re home in two minutes. The location score of 9.6 isn’t just a number; it’s the difference between catching that last glimpse of the castle lit up at night versus missing it because your hotel is stuck in some distant district. Couples especially seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 9.6 for romantic trips, and I totally see why. You know what’s really nice? You can grab fresh bread from the bakery on Grodzka street for breakfast without even planning it.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here feels like staying in someone’s well-kept city flat rather than a sterile hotel room. The spaces have character — wooden floors that creak just a little, windows that actually open wide, and enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The kitchen setup is particularly handy if you pick up some oscypek cheese and kielbasa from the market and want to have a proper Polish snack without paying restaurant prices. Nothing’s brand new, but everything works, and there’s something refreshing about that honest approach.
Neighborhood Life
What really sold me on this place was stepping outside in the morning and immediately being part of Kraków’s daily rhythm. The flower vendors are setting up their stalls, locals are heading to work through the same medieval streets tourists photograph all day, and you get this insider feeling that’s hard to find when you’re staying in the hotel district. The building itself sits quietly among the historic architecture — you’re not in some modern tower that sticks out, you’re actually woven into the fabric of the Old Town.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t about thread counts or marble bathrooms — it’s about waking up in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities and having everything you need right there. The 9.0 rating speaks to something simple but rare: a place that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. You’ll save money compared to the bigger hotels, you’ll have more space than most city accommodations, and honestly, you’ll probably end up spending most of your time exploring anyway. The parking situation is typical for Old Town (meaning challenging), but that’s true everywhere in this part of Kraków — most guests just walk or use trams, which connect beautifully from this central spot.

Next time in krakow I will be back again for sureUncleanjoe from United States (9/10)
Cute little apartment with a loft bed. It was a bit outside the old center of Krakow, so very quiet at night, but still easy to reach from the train station. Perfect for one of two people, and it even had a TV and couch!

Great location within a short walk of the Old Town. The host Miroslaw was communicative and provided clear instruction for checking in. Apartment was clean, well lit and had blackout curtains (which I appreciate in the morning as a light sleeper!). Shower was strong and the bathroom had underfloor heating, which was welcome after a chilly day of exploring the city. Would recommend.

The location is ok. I liked the fact that you are close to everything. It is a good value for money, but it is also not for everybody to stay there.

Location, facilities, appearance and the communication was fab. Early check in was a bonus allowing us to dump the bags and enjoy the market without the case.
