Old Town Cracow – Unique Apartment Euphorie Overview
You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first saw the name “Euphorie” – sounded a bit over the top, if I’m being honest. But after spending time in this Old Town apartment, I actually get it. There’s something genuinely euphoric about stepping out your door and being right there in the heart of medieval Krakow, with those cobblestone streets practically at your doorstep.
The apartment itself sits in one of those beautifully restored buildings that Krakow does so well – you’ll feel the history in the thick walls (which, by the way, means you won’t hear much from the street even during busy summer evenings when tourists are wandering around until late). What struck me most was how they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with that authentic Old Town character. The space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, and honestly, that 9.9 rating makes sense once you’re actually there. I mean, the attention to detail is something else – from the way the morning light hits the windows to little touches that show someone really thought about what travelers actually need.
Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot. The Main Market Square is just a few minutes’ walk, but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t be dealing with the constant buzz of street performers and tour groups right outside your window. I loved being able to grab fresh bread from the local bakeries in the morning (there’s this little place nearby that locals actually use, not just another tourist trap), and you’re close enough to Wawel Castle that you can easily walk there before the crowds hit. The thing about staying right in Old Town is that you really feel like you’re living in Krakow, not just visiting it – you’ll find yourself taking different routes through those winding streets, discovering little courtyards and cafes that aren’t in any guidebook.
Parking can be tricky in this area (well, it’s tricky everywhere in the Old Town), but that’s just the reality of staying in a UNESCO World Heritage site. The trade-off is absolutely worth it though – especially in the evening when the day-trippers head back to their hotels and you get to experience the Old Town when it belongs to the locals again. There’s something magical about those quiet moments around 10 PM when the medieval streets are softly lit and you realize you’re living, even temporarily, in one of Europe’s most beautiful historic centers.
