You know what caught me off guard about this place? The balcony actually faces the right direction. I mean, you’re staying on Prandoty – which honestly isn’t the most touristy street in Old Town – but that ends up being perfect because you get this quieter vibe while still being stupidly close to everything that matters. The apartment itself has that modern Polish renovation style down pat, where they’ve kept some of the old character but made everything actually functional for travelers.
The parking situation alone makes this worth considering, and I’m saying this as someone who’s circled Krakow’s cobblestone maze looking for a spot way too many times. Most places in the Old Town area will have you parking blocks away and dragging your luggage across those beautiful but absolutely brutal medieval stones. Here though, you’re sorted – and that’s honestly half the battle when you’re dealing with rental cars in Polish cities. The balcony gives you just enough outdoor space to have morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display for every passerby, which is surprisingly rare around Florianska Gate area. Plus, the apartment’s got that solid soundproofing thing figured out, so even though you’re central, you’re not hearing every group of tourists stumbling back from Szewska Street at 2 AM.
What really sells me on this spot is how it sits in relation to everything else. You’re basically a five-minute walk from the main square – close enough that you can pop back easily if you forgot something, but far enough that you’re not paying those crazy main-square prices for everything. The Renters Prestige folks seem to have their act together too; check-in was smooth, and they actually know the neighborhood well enough to give you decent restaurant recommendations that aren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The apartment feels like someone actually lives there sometimes, you know? Not that sterile hotel-chain vibe where everything’s bolted down and wrapped in plastic. I particularly liked how they set up the kitchen area – it’s small but thoughtfully arranged, so you can actually make proper coffee or throw together a quick meal with stuff from the Sukiennice market. Honestly, for a 4-star place with a perfect rating, it delivers on both the comfort level and that “local experience” thing without trying too hard to be quirky about it.
