Rakowicka Apartments Nearto Old Town Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Rakowicka Apartments Nearto Old Town, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked away on a quiet street, but you know you’re close to everything that matters in Kraków. The building has this understated charm that I actually prefer over flashy hotel lobbies. What really caught my attention was the parking situation — finding free private parking in this part of the city is honestly like striking gold, especially when you’re this close to Old Town.
Location That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s the thing about the location — it’s one of those spots where you get the best of both worlds. You’re close enough to walk to the main square in about ten minutes, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds right outside your window. I mean, couples are rating the location 9.3 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. The Rakowicka street itself is pretty residential, so you’ll see locals going about their day, which gives you that authentic Kraków vibe rather than feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment setup is what really sets this place apart from your typical hotel stay. You’re getting actual living space here — not just a cramped hotel room with a tiny desk. The kitchen is properly equipped, which honestly saved me a ton of money since eating out for every meal in Kraków’s Old Town can add up quickly. The whole space feels lived-in rather than sterile, and there’s enough room to actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase.
Practical Perks
You know what I didn’t expect? How quiet it actually gets at night. Even though you’re in the heart of the city, the street is residential enough that you’re not dealing with late-night party noise. The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but honestly, the amenities cover everything you actually need. The free parking alone probably saves you 20-30 euros a day compared to other places in this area — and trust me, trying to find parking near Old Town is a nightmare you don’t want to deal with.
Why Guests Love It
After staying here, I totally understand why this place scores so well with visitors. It’s that sweet spot where you’re getting great value without sacrificing location or comfort. The fact that it’s specifically popular with couples makes sense — there’s something romantic about having your own little apartment in Kraków rather than just another hotel room. Plus, when you can walk to Wawel Castle, the main square, and all those amazing pierogi places without needing transportation, you’re basically set. The 8.7 rating reflects exactly what you get — solid, reliable, and perfectly positioned for exploring everything Kraków has to offer.

The beds are definitely top of the line, we slept like at home. There is also a dishwasher, which was a nice bonus. There is a huge shopping center within a 10-minute walk. The apartment is warm, although it is on the first floor.

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The apartment is conveniently located close to the main train station, making it easy to travel around. It’s only a 30-minute walk to the old town, where we enjoyed exploring the historic sites. Despite its central location, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!

Small but well-equipped apartment; it has everything you need, including a huge balcony. The bed is very comfy. The apartment is in a building with a secure, clean, and welcoming environment. It is super close to the train station, a large shopping mall, and a few convenience stores like Żabka, all within a 5-minute walk. The city center is just a 15-minute walk away

The layout of the room works very well. It's a small room, but you do not notice this.
The location is also really good, about a 4 minute walk from the train station (and about 15 minutes from Old Town)Eszter from Hungary (9/10)
The apartment was clean and nicely furnished, fully equipped. The apartments are located in a very nice and safe neighborhood. The check-in and checkout were easy, just pick-up and drop-down of keys. The accommodation had a very good parking place as well in a closed garage for a reasonable price.
