Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Relaks Apartamenty when I first booked it – the name sounds pretty straightforward (relaks literally means “relax” in Polish), but you know how hotel names can be misleading. Turns out, they absolutely nailed it with that choice. This place genuinely gets what travelers actually want, which is probably why it’s sitting at a 9.7 rating that feels completely deserved.

What struck me first was how they’ve managed to create these apartment-style accommodations that feel like someone’s really nice friend let you crash at their place – if that friend happened to have impeccable taste and actually cared about things like proper lighting and comfortable beds. The apartments have this lived-in quality without being worn down, you know? Real coffee makers, not those pod things that make terrible coffee. Kitchen setups that you’d actually use, not just for show. And the little touches – decent hangers in the closets (why is this so rare?), blackout curtains that actually block light, shower pressure that doesn’t make you question your life choices.

The four-star rating undersells it, honestly. I mean, it’s not trying to be some fancy resort with a million amenities you’ll never use, but what they do have works perfectly. The staff treats you like a regular from day one – they remember your name, they’ll actually give you useful local recommendations instead of just pointing to tourist traps, and check-in is refreshingly straightforward. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period (lots of business travelers mixing with tourists), but the building never felt chaotic or loud. The soundproofing is solid, which is something you don’t realize you need until you’re trying to sleep and can hear every conversation in the hallway – not an issue here. The whole setup just feels thoughtfully designed by people who’ve actually stayed in hotels themselves and paid attention to what works and what’s annoying. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and start planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

  The Apartment is in a great location just on the edge of the old town, easily walkable and everything else you need within 100m. The hosts were contactable before we arrived and during our stay, helped to arrange excursions and provided local recommendations and a map of places to visit. Although we didn't take the breakfast option we did visit the cafe which was excellent. Special mention for the heated floor in the bathroom!
