Résidence Tournet Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Résidence Tournet? The name made me expect some stuffy, formal place, but honestly, it’s got this relaxed residential vibe that actually works really well. I mean, it’s a 3-star property, so you’re not getting marble everything and champagne service, but there’s something refreshing about a place that knows exactly what it is and delivers on that promise without trying too hard.
The building itself has this quiet charm – sort of feels like you’re staying in a well-maintained apartment building rather than a traditional hotel, which I actually loved. Check-in was smooth, no fuss, and the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than going through the motions. What really impressed me was how clean everything felt, and I don’t just mean surface clean – I’m talking about that deep-down cleanliness you notice in the corners and details. The rooms have this modern-but-not-trying-too-hard aesthetic, with decent space and windows that actually open (thank goodness, because some places seem to think we all want to live in sealed boxes). The beds were comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night, which honestly is half the battle with mid-range hotels.
Here’s the thing that bumps this place up for me – it’s got that 8.8 rating for good reason, and it shows in the little stuff. The WiFi actually works throughout the building, the water pressure doesn’t make you question your life choices, and there’s this general sense that someone’s paying attention to maintenance before things break. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the place never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. The neighborhood itself is pretty walkable – not flashy or touristy, but real in a way that lets you feel like you’re getting a genuine taste of the area rather than some sanitized vacation bubble. Parking wasn’t a nightmare (always a relief), and I noticed they keep things reasonably quiet after evening hours, which matters when you’re actually trying to sleep. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but sometimes you just want a place that does the basics really well without the pretense or the price tag that comes with fancier properties. If you’re the type who values substance over flash and appreciates when a place exceeds reasonable expectations, Résidence Tournet gets it right.

I was surprised at how nice a hotel it is for the low price I paid. The room was modern and clean, brand new bathroom with a shower and a bath tub. Comfortable bed. Really nice set up. There is a really great restaurant next door called Dong-A. Incredible food and teas. Whole neighborhood is full of great restaurants and bars and there is a 24 Carrefour on the corner.

I’ve stayed here several times over a lot of years . It’s family run . There is a lift to upper rooms . Lovely big rooms . Clean and cosy . Modern shower rooms . Good breakfast . Popular location ideal for exploring Krakow .
Very informative on reception .Marjo from Italy (9/10)
Loved the position, loved the privacy, loved the silence. It was my first alone-travel and i was a little bit nervous but The girl at the Reception it was so kind and so respectful. I ate breakfast 2times: most of the menù was saltie ( i prefer saltie breakfast so it was perfect ).
I notice the absense of doormat but I'm certain that if i asked they will bring it. ( In my modest opinion it had to be always present, expecially in winter where the snow do not help the shoes to be cleaned ).
If i will have the opportunity to go back in Krakow i will choose again this structure.Simon from United Kingdom (9/10)
The room was very clean and comfortable with everything you need inside. The location is beside the main street and close to restaurants and shops. The breakfast was basic however had everything you need.
