What really sold me was the windows; they’re these tall, old-school ones that actually open (imagine that!) and let in proper natural light. My room faced the park side, and honestly, waking up to trees instead of a concrete wall or busy street made such a difference. Fair warning though – if you’re a super light sleeper, you might hear some early morning joggers, but it’s more pleasant background noise than anything disruptive.

Here’s the thing that keeps sticking with me about Royal Parkside – it feels genuine. The housekeeping staff takes pride in their work (I watched them actually dust the lampshades, not just make the beds), and the little restaurant off the lobby serves breakfast until 10:30 on weekends because, as the manager told me, “people are on vacation.” It’s those small human touches that you don’t realize you’re missing until you find them again. The whole place has this unhurried vibe that’s becoming rare these days. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with a rooftop infinity pool or marble everything, but if you want a place where you can actually relax without feeling like you’re being processed through a hospitality machine, this is it. Plus, with a 9.3 rating, clearly I’m not the only one who gets it.
