Hotel Description
You know what surprised me most about the Sheraton Grand Krakow? It actually feels grand without being stuffy about it. I mean, you walk into that lobby and there’s this immediate sense that they took the whole “grand” thing seriously – high ceilings, marble that doesn’t look fake, and staff who seem genuinely happy you’re there rather than just going through the motions.
The thing about staying here is you’re right in the thick of things without dealing with the chaos that comes with some central locations. I could walk to the Old Town square in maybe ten minutes (okay, fifteen if you stop to look at things), but honestly, the area around the hotel has this nice energy of its own. There’s actual life happening – locals grabbing coffee, not just tourists with maps looking confused. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a five-star place, but it’s the details that got me. The shower pressure is legitimately excellent (you’d be surprised how many fancy hotels mess this up), and the beds are that perfect firmness where you sink in just enough. I stayed on the seventh floor and could see across the rooftops – sort of gave me this bird’s eye view of how the old architecture blends with the newer stuff.
What really sold me on this place, though, was how the staff handled things. Check-in was smooth, sure, but it was more than that – they actually knew the neighborhood. When I asked about where to grab a proper Polish breakfast that wasn’t a tourist trap, the concierge didn’t just hand me a brochure. He drew a little map on hotel stationary and told me to try this place three blocks away where the locals go (and he was absolutely right). The restaurant in the hotel is solid too, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes you want to venture out. Parking was surprisingly painless – they have valet service that doesn’t feel like they’re doing you this huge favor. The only minor thing I’d mention is that weekend evenings can get a bit lively in the lobby bar area, but honestly, it adds to the atmosphere rather than being annoying. If you’re the type who goes to bed at 9 PM, just know there might be some distant conversation and laughter floating around. For me, it felt like staying somewhere that actual life was happening, which is exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city like Krakow.
Apartments in Krakow provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Polish markets and cook with regional Galician specialties.

The hotel’s breakfast was exceptional, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, from fluffy pastries to perfectly cooked eggs and gourmet coffee. The attention to detail and impeccable service made every morning feel like a five-star dining experience.
What I loved most was the thoughtful touches from the hotel, making our stay truly special. They welcomed our son with a chocolate dragon’s egg in our room, and after we upgraded, we were delighted to find local delicacies waiting for us. Even more impressively, the hotel discovered it was our anniversary and surprised us with a cake and wine. How thoughtful is that? I felt genuinely well cared for and appreciated every detail.Jessica from United Kingdom (9/10)
