They’ve got these beautiful old Singer sewing machine details worked into the design (hence the name, obviously), and the studio-style rooms actually feel thoughtfully put together. My room had this massive window that looked out over one of those classic Kraków courtyards – you know the type, with the worn cobblestones and laundry hanging between buildings. The space itself is compact but smart about it, like someone who actually travels designed it. There’s proper storage, decent lighting for reading, and – this matters more than you’d think – the wifi actually works consistently throughout the building.

What I really appreciated was the location within Kazimierz itself. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from Plac Nowy (where the food trucks gather in the evenings), but far enough from the main party streets that you won’t have drunk tourists shouting under your window at 2 AM. The Jewish quarter’s synagogues and museums are all walkable, and honestly, some of the best pierogi I had in Kraków came from this tiny place just around the corner that I never would’ve found if I’d stayed in the Old Town. The staff seems to get this too – they’re locals who can point you toward the spots that aren’t in every guidebook.

I mean, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect a spa or room service, but that 9.1 rating makes sense when you stay there. The breakfast is simple but good (proper Polish bread, decent coffee), check-in was smooth even when I arrived early, and the building stays surprisingly quiet at night. My only small gripe? The shower pressure could be better, but that’s pretty much every old building in this part of the city. For the price point and the neighborhood, Singer Retro Studio gets the balance right between authentic local experience and actual comfort – which is honestly harder to find than you’d think in Kraków these days.

  An amazing location – right in the heart of Kazimierz, yet in a modern building with a lift (which may be important for some). The flat was immaculately clean and had all the listed amenities, the wifi also worked reliably. While the nightlife in Kazimierz can get loud, with closed windows you won't hear much. It is a perfect place to stay, with an interesting interior design. Definitely a spot to come back to.
