You know how Old Town places can feel cramped? This one doesn’t.

The location is honestly what sold me on it. Starowiślna Street runs right through the heart of things, and you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Main Square (I timed it, because I’m that person). But here’s the thing locals know – you’re positioned perfectly to duck down Grodzka Street toward Wawel Castle without fighting through all the tour groups that clog up Floriańska. The building itself has that classic Krakow charm – thick walls that actually keep street noise down, which matters more than you’d think since this area gets lively at night. I mean, you’ll still hear some activity from the bars and cafés, but it’s more ambient city buzz than sleep-disrupting chaos.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to keep the historical character while making everything actually functional. The kitchen isn’t just for show – you can properly cook in there, which is perfect since there’s a decent Żabka just around the corner and the covered market at Hala Targowa is walkable if you want fresh stuff. The mezzanine bedroom feels surprisingly private even though it’s technically open to the main space below. There’s something cozy about it, especially in the evening when the light from those old-style windows gets all golden. Check-in was smooth (they actually showed up when they said they would – not always a given with apartment rentals), and the whole place felt properly clean, not just surface-level tidy.

It’s not perfect – the stairs to the mezzanine are steep enough that you’ll want to be careful after a night sampling Krakow’s excellent beer scene, and the shower could have better water pressure. But honestly? Those are minor gripes. This place gets the important stuff right: great location without the tourist trap feel, enough space to actually relax, and real neighborhood vibes. You’ll walk past the same café owner every morning, hear church bells from St. Mary’s Basilica, and feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual character instead of another generic rental. Początkowo korespondencja mailowa zmierzała do uzupełnienia braku, ale niestety w rezultacie nie przyniosła skutku :-(. Duży za to minus, bo cena apartamentu adekwatna do 4 gości, a nie 3. Poza tym brak odpowiedniej ilości sztućców w kuchni, ale to już jakby szczegół.
