You know what caught me off guard about Zabłocie Residence? I was expecting another cookie-cutter business hotel, but this place actually has some character. It’s tucked away in Kraków’s Zabłocie district – and honestly, if you haven’t explored this area yet, you’re missing out on one of the city’s coolest transformations. This used to be all industrial warehouses and train tracks, but now it’s where you’ll find the contemporary art scene and some surprisingly good coffee shops that locals actually frequent.

The hotel itself feels more like a well-designed apartment building than your typical tourist trap. I mean, it’s technically a 3-star place, but the 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’re inside. The rooms have this minimalist thing going on – clean lines, decent lighting, and windows that actually open (which is more rare than it should be). The beds are honestly pretty comfortable, though the pillows might be a bit soft if you’re used to firmer support. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup in most rooms – not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker, but actual cooking space. Perfect if you want to grab some fresh bread and cheese from the market instead of eating hotel breakfast every morning.

Parking was surprisingly painless, which anyone who’s driven in Kraków will tell you is a minor miracle. The staff at check-in seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – they actually knew the neighborhood well enough to point me toward a decent pierogi spot that wasn’t crawling with tour groups. The whole vibe is pretty quiet, even on weekends, though you’ll hear some tram noise if you’re a super light sleeper. I’d say the area comes alive more in the evenings when people are heading to the galleries and bars, but it’s never rowdy – more of a sophisticated buzz, you know? If you’re planning to spend most of your time in the Old Town, it’s about a 15-minute tram ride, but honestly, I found myself hanging around Zabłocie more than I expected. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like actual Kraków rather than tourist Kraków, if that makes sense.

  The apartment, in general, the entire building is renovated, everything is new and clean! The flat was exactly as shown on the photographs, we've found anything that we needed 🙂 Also, the location is nice because it's not in the city centre, but it's very easily reached with the tram or bus 🙂

  Was everything clean and confortable. We had a pleasant stay. Its close to the train station that takes you to the city center. There are also two Zabka pretty close to the apartment where you can buy something to eat. Would 100% recomend. Its a small apartment, we shared in 6 people and was fine.

  Clean, very well organized, nice and quiet area. It may seem not to be in the center of the city, but you can reach the old town in few minutes by tram (Kazimierz is 15-20 minutes walk). The Oskar Schindler factory is nearby.

  Clean, warm apartment with all necessary facilities at a good location 🙂
  There is a public paid parking in front of the building. Nearest parking machine accepts coins only and it can be difficult to provide coins for a day…but at the end of the street , on the left, some 50 meters straight, there is parking machine that accepts bank cards.
  Also, kudos for the great communication.
